Greninja ex is used as a secondary attacker to Suicune ex.

While Suicune ex is in the Active Spot, you will be able to draw an extra card per turn. This ability will help you fill up your bench and evolve Pokemon faster, while also powering up Suicune ex's Crystal Waltz, which increases by 20 damage for each Pokemon in the Bench on both your and your opponent's side.

Because of Suicune ex's card advantage, it is recommended to have Genetic Apex Greninja in your deck since its ability to snipe Pokemon from the Bench.

However, if Suicune ex is in danger and Giratina ex is unable to be placed in the Active Spot, Greninja ex, the highest HP Pokemon in the deck, can be switched in. Greninja ex's Ability, Shifting Stream can let you switch in Greninja ex, or any Water Pokemon, into the Active Spot without having to retreat Aqua Edge also only costs 2 Water Energy to be used, and can deal a solid 100 damage against opposing Pokemon.

Counter Against Cards That Switch Out the Active Spot

Greninja ex's Ability is an excellent counter to Sabrina, Cyrus, and Repel, which can disrupt and stall your gameplan.

Build Greninja First then Greninja ex

Most Greninja ex decks will ask you to bring Genetic Apex Greninja alongside Greninja ex. During early game, you should prioritize getting a non-ex Greninja up, so you can use its ability to snipe Pokemon from the Bench.

However, Greninja ex is vital during the late game as a secondary attacker and its ability to switch Pokemon out, so make sure you already have it built shortly after.

How to Beat Greninja ex Decks

Faster Setup and Offense

Decks that can outpace Greninja ex and its partners are difficult to go up against. Faster and more efficient setup can often put Greninja ex decks on the back foot, making it hard for them to catch up in the mid to late game.

Use Pokemon That Can Snipe the Bench

You can still counter Greninja ex if you have Pokemon that can either damage the Bench or place damage anywhere on the board. This bypasses Greninja ex's ability, giving you more chances to knock out Pokemon.

thia is the best version 1 water energy 20 dmg. The oldest one is 1 Any energy 10dmg. And the new one is 2 energy. If you are atacking with the base frog with 2 energy you probably are already cooked.
