Burn Status Explained
Burn is a status effect that can be afflicted to Pokemon in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket (PTCG Pocket). Read on to learn more about the Burn status effect, how to cure, and which Pokemon cards can make your opponent's Pokemon burned!

Take 20 Damage After Every Turn

Status	Effect
Burn	Take 20 damage for every turn Every turn, the player must do a coin toss. If it lands on Heads, the pokemon heals from its Burn.

A pokemon afflicted with Burn will take 20 damage every turn until it recovers. Unlike Poison, which cannot recover naturally, a Pokemon can heal from Burn by getting Heads on a coin toss.

This effect can last more than 1 turn until it is cured.

What is a Pokemon Check?

There is a phase at the end of each Player's turn where all pokemon with status effects will be checked by the game. If you have a status condition, the game will make you take damage, do a coin toss, or recover naturally.

Since checks happen on every change of turns, your status ailments can also cure at the end of your opponent's turn.

Use a Lum Berry to cure status effects.

Burn can be cured by evolving your pokemon, retreating them to Bench, landing Heads on a Coin Toss, or using the Lum Berry Pokemon Tool card.
