Misty and Manaphy can set up the primary attackers of this deck. Palkia ex is great in the early game because of its 30 damage Slash. Both Empoleon and Palkia ex can damage Benched Pokemon as well as the Active Pokemon.

If you get Misty and Palkia ex in your starting hand, you can try to set Palkia ex up immediately. If you get lucky coin flips, you can easily take down your opponent right off the bat.

Start setting up Piplup on your Bench as well. If you get enough Energy from Misty onto Palkia ex, you can place the Energy from your Energy Zone onto Piplup.

Recommended Starting Hand

If you don’t get Misty at the beginning, you can also set up using Manaphy. Try to get another Pokemon from your deck using your Trainer cards, and use Manaphy to give them Energy. Having a Giant Cape to attach can help with its longevity.
