Main Attacker | Disruption | Description |
---|---|---|
Machamp ex | Dugtrio |
・Machamp can reliably attack for 120 on turn 3. ・Dugtrio can buy turns by being immune to damage for a turn on a lucky flip from Dig. |
Best Starting Hand |
---|
A turn 2 evolution is good to see on an opening hand. Aim to start with whichever Pokemon you can readily evolve, and attach Energy to it. In this case, set Machop as your starter, attach an Energy to it and use Knuckle Punch.
Follow up next turn by evolving it to Machoke and attaching another Energy. Use Professor's Research to attempt to dig for Machamp ex.
Recommended Starting Hand |
---|
Start with Machop as described above, and use Professor's Research to get evolutions onhand. Utilize Poke Ball to get either a second Machop or Diglett, and use Potion to keep your Pokemon healthy and out of KO range.

Machamp ex Offense | ||
---|---|---|
The deck's main objective is to set up Machamp ex as quick as possible, preferrably on turn 3. When Machamp ex is ready, always have it active and attacking, keeping it healthy with Potions and strategic switching.
Dugtrio can be a disruptive nuisance for opponents, consistently dealing 40 with a chance of evasion. Use this Pokemon when you have to play defensive turns, or if you have to set up another Machamp ex after one has been damaged.

Pikachu ex Decks |
・Machamp ex and Dugtrio are at a type advantage against Pikachu ex decks. ・Favorable point trades. |
Deck | Commentary |
---|---|
Mewtwo ex Decks |
・Mewtwo ex decks are at an advantage against Machamp ex. ・Mewtwo ex can easily OHKO Diglett with Psychic Sphere |
The Machamp ex deck relies heavily on Machop evolving into Machamp ex on time and attaching Energy every turn for a turn 3 Machamp Mega Punch.
Dugtrio is present to buy us turns by disrupting with Dig, but the main source of damage is Machamp ex. The deck will also be a little slower compared to others because it is a Stage 2 deck.
Card | Explanation |

・ A non-ex Machamp can replace a Machamp ex for a single point attacker. |
Card | Possible Cuts |
---|---|
