Passimian ex and Golem
[★ New ★] |
Strengths:
• Passimian ex's Ability can transfer all of its Energy to Golem. • Passimian ex can whittle down oppossing Pokemon while Golem is being set up. Weaknesses: • Passimian ex's Ability will only work if it is knocked out by a direct attack from a Pokemon. • Set up can take too long. |

This deck sets up Golem as a late-game attacker and finisher. Druddigon can act as a wall, damaging opponents with its Rough Skin Ability while setting Golem up in the Bench. Hitmonlee can also be used as an early game attacker and target Benched Pokemon if Druddigon is unavailable.

This deck takes advantage of Passimian ex's Ability to transfer its Energy to your Benched Golem when it is knocked out by an oppossing Pokemon's move.
While setting up Golem, you can whittle down your opponent's Pokemon with Passimian ex's own attack.

Golem is safer to build in the Bench since it's a Stage 2 Pokemon and has a high Attack Cost. Druddigon is a good wall, as it has decent HP and can damage the opponent's Pokemon when attacked.
Alternatively, you can deal damage in the early game using a Fighting-type Pokemon with an efficient Attack Cost.

Brock allows Golem to attach an additional Fighting Energy to itself in a turn, which enables it to use Guard Press earlier.

Since Golem takes time to set up, you can take advantage by knocking out its pre-evolutions. Sabrina and Cyrus can draw them out, but you can also use cards that can damage Benched Pokemon such as Genetic Apex Hitmonlee.

Guard Press' damage reduction isn't completely negated even with a type advantage. You can use Giovanni to increase the power of your Pokemon's attacks, or you may also equip your Active Pokemon with a Rocky Helmet to inflict damage upon being attacked.

Golem can take a while to set up because of its steep Attack Cost, so you may prevent it from attacking by removing its Energy. Beedrill ex can remove one Energy per turn while attacking. You can also opt to use Team Rocket Grunt, as lucky flips can allow you to remove all of Golem's Energy at once.

make sure to only have fighting energy too. Drudggion is only there to be a wall
