Despite Aerodactyl ex being weak to Lightning-type Pokemon, the best counters for this deck are Grass-type decks, custom or rental.

Most Lightning-type Pokemon are weak to Fighting-types, so it’s not a good idea to bring them to this battle. Two of the big threats in this deck—Golem and Stonjourner—are weak to Grass-types, making it the better deck type to use.

Watch out when using ex Pokemon against this Aerodactyl ex deck! Tauros can easily knock them out with its boosted attack, so try to swap out your ex Pokemon if Tauros is on the field or knock it out early.
