Mega Pinsir ex Deck Strategy

Use fast Fire-type Pokemon.

Increase your Pokemon's HP.

Bring recovery cards.

Mega Pinsir ex can score OHKOs with lucky coin flips. You may use Fire-type Pokemon with low Attack Costs to counter it before it can attack.

Mega Blaziken ex and Shining Revelry Charizard ex are great to use if you can evolve them with Rare Candy early. Flareon ex is also a good choice, but you will need to attach the Giant Cape to prevent it from getting OHKO'd.

Miltank is also in this deck, which can inflict Paralysis on your Pokemon. You may also want to bring cards that heal Status Effects such as Pokemon Center Lady and Big Malasada.

Mega Blaziken ex Deck Strategy

Use a fast Water-type Pokemon.

Send Mega Blaziken ex to the Bench.

KO Torchic early.

Mega Blaziken ex is a powerful card. It has great bulk, the ability to inflict Burn, and an efficient Attack Cost.

You may use a fast Water-type Pokemon to land KOs before Mega Blaziken ex is set up. Suicune ex is a good option, as it has a low Attack Cost and can deal good damage with a filled-out bench. However, be sure to equip it with the Giant Cape to avoid getting OHKO's by Mega Blaziken ex.

You may also choose to send Mega Blaziken ex to the Bench in order to KO other Pokemon. You may use Greninja's Ability to damage a Pokemon from your opponent's Bench, then draw them out with Cyrus. This will give your main attacker the opportunity to land a KO.

Mega Gyarados ex Deck Strategy

Use Lightning-type Pokemon.

KO Magikarp early.

Consider conceding once Mega Gyarados ex is set up.

Mega Gyarados ex has powerful offensive capabilities in addition to the ability to discard your cards. It is ideal to land KOs before it evolves.

You may use Lightning-type attackers such as Tapu Koko ex and Zeraora. If you are facing Mega Gyarados ex, you may use Pom-Pom Oricorio to nullify any damage you might take.

You can also focus on knocking out Magikarp early. You may bring it to the Active Spot with Sabrina, or use Pokemon that damage the Bench such as WSS Absol or Jirachi.

Jolteon ex Deck Strategy

Use Energy-efficient Fighting-types.

Send Jolteon ex to the Bench.

KO Eevee if it has not evolved yet.

Jolteon ex can deal damage with its Ability every time you attach Energy to one of your Pokemon. You may use Energy-efficient Fighting-types to counter it.

Attackers such as Rampardos, Donphan ex, and Hitmonchan ex are good options. You may also have Lucario on the Bench to boost their damage.

You can make use of Sabrina and Cyrus to bring other Pokemon to the Active Spot. This will prevent Jolteon ex from damaging your Pokemon as you attach Energy.

Mega Altaria ex can deal great damage when it has a full Bench behind it. You may use fast Metal-types to counter it.

You may use Energy-efficient Pokemon such as Solgaleo ex and Skarmory. They can be set up quickly, allowing you to land KOs before Mega Altaria ex can become a threat.

You may also use Sabrina and Cyrus to bring other Pokemon to the Active Spot. This can decrease Mega Altaria ex's attacking power if you successfully land a KO, as you are decreasing the amount of Benched Pokemon.

Hitmonchan ex Deck Strategy

Use fast Psychic-type Pokemon.

Increase or recover your HP.

Hitmonchan ex can attack quickly, which may leave your Pokemon in KO range before they are set up.

You may use fast Psychic-types as a counter. Espeon ex is a good option, as it can evolve right away if you use Mega Rising Eevee. It also has the Ability to recover HP.

Mega Altaria ex is also a good option, as it has great bulk and the capability to do a lot of damage with a full Bench. You may use healing cards such as Pokemon Center Lady or Indeedee ex to keep it out of KO range.

Mega Absol ex Deck Strategy

Use Grass-type Pokemon.

Disrupt the opponent's hand.

Consider conceding if the opponent starts with Mega Absol ex.

Mega Absol ex is a great threat in the early game, as it can deal relatively high damage in the earlier turns. Watch out for Hydreigon as well, as it can accelerate its own Energy and deal 130 damage.

You may use fast Grass-types to counter this deck. Meowscarada can be good to counter Mega Absol ex, as it deals additional damage against ex Pokemon. For Hydreigon, you may use Decidueye ex. If it has damaged itself with Roar in Unison, you can pull it to the Active Spot with Cyrus and boost Decidueye ex's damage with Hau, or immediately damage it with Pierce the Pain.

You can also prevent vital cards from being drawn by your opponent. Cards such as Red Card, Mars, and Iono shuffles the opponent's hand into their deck, possibly disrupting their strategy.

Use Fire-type Pokemon.

Use Guzma to discard the opponent's Heavy Helmet.

KO Honedge and Doublade before they evolve.

Melmetal ex can deal great damage with Metal Arms once it has enough Energy and a Pokemon Tool. Aegislash increases the damage output of its allies, making the opposing deck more threatening.

You may use fast Fire-types to counter this deck. Shining Revelry Charizard ex is a great choice, as it can set up quickly. It can also OHKO Melmetal ex if it does not have the Heavy Helmet attached. To remove the Heavy Helmet, you may use Guzma.

You can also focus on knocking out Honedge and Doublade early. You may bring them to the Active Spot with Sabrina or Cyrus.

Buzzwole ex can deal a high amount of damage once set up. It is best to use fast Fire-type Pokemon to land KOs quickly.

Meowscarada is in this deck, threatening ex Pokemon with its Fighting Claws attack. If you want to use ex Pokemon, you may focus on knocking out Sprigatito and Floragato early. Alternatively, you may use single-point attackers such as Ninetales and Rapidash.

KO Eevee before it evolves.

Moltres ex and Flareon can accelerate Charizard ex's Energy, allowing Charizard ex to attack faster. Knock them out fast in order to secure a clean victory.

You may use decks that can set up fast. Using a Suicune ex deck is a good option. In addition to its Type advantage against Charizard ex, it also has access to Energy acceleration from Mantyke and Misty.

Defeat Manaphy quickly.

Palkia ex and Articuno ex can be threatening, as they can deal damage to both your Active Pokemon and your Bench. They also have Energy acceleration from Manaphy.

You may use fast Lightning-type Pokemon to counter this deck. Pom-Pom Oricorio can wall the opponents' ex Pokemon, while Zeraora can accelerate Energy. You may also opt to use a finisher such as Magnezone or Shining Revelry Pikachu ex during the late game.

You may need to be careful as Cyrus can bring your unprepared Benched Pokemon to the Active Spot. The card can only be used on damaged Pokemon, so be sure to bring healing cards to keep your Bench safe.

Alolan Raichu ex deals more damage against opponents with lots of Energy attached. To counter it, you may use Energy-efficient Fighting-type Pokemon. Rampardos, Marshadow, and Midnight Lycanroc can be good single-point options.

Magnezone can deal great damage once set up. It may be good to KO its pre-evolutions early. Sabrina and Cyrus can draw them out from the Bench.

KO Ralts before it evolves.

Mewtwo ex and Mew ex can threaten with their high damage capabilities once properly set up. They are assisted by Gardevoir, which can accelerate their Energy. It is good to use fast and Energy-efficient Darkness-type Pokemon in order to counter this deck.

Weavile ex is a great counter, as it can deal a high amount of damage for only one Energy. It is effective against damaged Pokemon, so cards it is good to bring cards that deal chip damage, such as Rocky Helmet or Darkrai ex.

Be wary of Marshadow's Revenge.

KO Gible and Riolu before they evolve.

Lucario ex and Garchomp ex are powerful Pokemon that can deal damage to both your Active Pokemon and your Bench. You may use fast Grass-type to land quick KOs.

You may use Meowscarada to counter the ex Pokemon in the opponent's deck. Its attack is powerful against ex Pokemon, and with the existence of Red, it can OHKO both Lucario ex and Garchomp ex. It also does not receive effective damage from Sudowoodo's attack since it is a non-ex Pokemon.

Be sure to stay cautious of Marshadow's Revenge. It can deal a good amount of damage if you have just KO'd one of your opponent's Pokemon. You may try to defeat it first by drawing it out with Sabrina or Cyrus.

KO Zubat and Golbat before they evolve.

Bring healing cards.

Guzzlord ex sports both huge bulk and the ability to deal great damage. It can also remove your Active Pokemon's Energy. To counter it, you will need a fast Grass-type with a low Attack Cost.

Meowscarada is a good option, as it can OHKO Guzzlord ex with the assistance of Red. Since it is an evolved Pokemon, Umbreon's Dark Binding cannot prevent it from attacking.

It is good to bring healing cards to this battle. Crobat ex and Nihilego can inflict Poison, so it may be good to bring Pokemon Center Lady or Big Malasada. Alternatively, you can bring cards that lower your Pokemon's Retreat Cost so that it can heal its Status Effect by being Benched.

Heliolisk's attack costs 2 energy, and can deal 60 danage consistently against water types, and 100 damage if you get lucky with the coin flip. This should be enough to take out most of the Pokemon in this deck, but starting off with Zebstrika should allow you to damage Pokemon even from the bench, allowing Heliolisk a clean KO once they are fielded.

Other Lightning-types are also viable, but Blastoise ex can become quite a problem if not dealt with early on!
