A direct counter to Gholdengo ex is discarding Energies from either Gholdengo ex itself or its Energy accelerators. Spending Rush doesn't have an upper damage limit and can sweep your side of the board if left unchecked.

Dialga ex is a key card for this deck. Knocking one of the Dialga ex out not only nets you 2 points but also cuts off one of Gholdengo ex's accelerators.

Both Chien-Pao ex and Greninja can hit Pokemon on the Bench. A Water Shuriken from Greninja, followed by Diving Icicles from Chien-Pao ex, are sure to knock out Gholdengo ex wherever it is. Just be careful not to let Chien-Pao ex get knocked out, as it is weak to Metal.

This deck takes advantage of Gholdengo ex and Dialga ex's shared weakness to Fire. A turn 1 with Turtonator and Kiawe can speed up Energy generation for Turtonator allowing it to 2HKO either Dialga ex or Gholdengo ex for 2 points.
Any discarded Energy can then be placed on Blacephalon with Lusamine. Each Pokemon also is decently bulky, and can endure at least 2 Spending Rushes.
If the Active Pokemon is equipped with a Metal Core Barrier, remove it with Guzma first before attacking.

This is a flexible deck that revolves around Mega Rising Golurk and its Heavy Rocket which can deal up to 180 Damage with only 2 Energy.
The 2 Golett should be the only Basic Pokemon of this deck, and there are 4 Supporters to help you look for the Golurk for evolution.
Since the core consists of only 8 cards, the other 12 cards of the deck can be filled up with different Pokemon from the Paldean Wonders Expansion, fulfilling the requirements of the Battle Task.
Just make sure to only add Stage 1 and Stage 2 Pokemon so that you are guaranteed a Golett in your starting hand and with Poke Ball. Additionally, only add those with Retreat Costs of 3 or more to empower Golurk's Heavy Rocket.
As a bonus, you can add or remove Mega Evolution ex cards as needed to fulfill other Battle Tasks.

Choose any of the 12 cards listed above to fulfill the 12 Paldean Wonders Cards Battle Task. Alternatively, Bellibolt ex can also be used for this line-up if you are missing certain cards. However, if you want to complete the No ex Card Battle Task, then you must exclude Bellibolt ex from the deck.
