List of Contents
The four strongest decks in TCG Pocket currently are Suicune ex & Greninja, Mega Absol ex & Hydreigon, Mega Altaria ex & Greninja, and Magnezone & Oricorio.
The Suicune ex & Greninja deck continues to hold a top-tier position. Its plays involving Greninja + Cyrus and switching via Greninja ex offers reliable wins against Mega ex Pokemon. Combined with the deck’s inherent high consistency, it does not relinquish its spot at the top even in the new meta.
The Mega Absol ex & Hydreigon deck has a favorable standing in the current meta as it performs well against the highly played Magnezone & Oricorio deck. Its deck power remains intact making it a strong deck that continues to sit in S Tier.
The Mega Altaria ex & Greninja deck runs both Stage 1 and Stage 2 Pokémon, so its consistency is slightly lower compared to other S-Tier decks.
However, once its board is established, its offense power is very high. This deck has also achieved excellent results in tournaments, highlighting its strengths as a strong deck.
Magnezone & Oricorio has been significantly strengthened with the addition of the new Magnezone and Clemont. Clemont allows for guaranteed searches of Magneton, dramatically improving consistency, and since Magnezone no longer discards Energy, it enables sustained rotation and durability in play.
Oricorio functions as a powerful counter against Mega Evolution and ex decks. Taking all these factors into account, this deck is positioned for S-Tier.
| Deck | Tier Movement | Explanation |
|---|---|
CB Magnezone and Pom-Pom Oricorio Deck
|
Rating: From S Tier down to A+ Tier Top tier decks are able to effectively negate Pom-Pom Oricorio's effectiveness, while outvaluing Magnezone with consistency. |
Mega Venusaur ex Deck
|
Rating: From B Tier up to A Tier The absence of Fire-type in the higher tiers, or Pokemon that are able to OHKO it puts Mega Venusaur ex at a comfortable spot on the tier list. |

Notable Pokemon cards from Crimson Blaze include Mega Charizard Y ex and Mega Lopunny ex who are the set's best new Mega ex Pokemon with Magnezone shaping up to be the best non-ex.
Key Trainer cards include Clemont who empowers Magnezone Decks, and Serena who helps with the consistency of drawing Mega ex Pokemon.

While Magnezone and Pom-Pom Oricorio decks were good counters to a metagame filled with Suicune ex and Mega Altaria ex, their increased usage prompted players to adjust with their own counters. As a result, Mega Absol ex and Hydreigon have increased in usage.

Mega Altaria ex decks have comfortably readjusted to the new metagame with various partners being played alongside it. Among them is Greninja, which is consistent at sniping and maneuvering into win conditions, as well as Furfou who is strong against Baby Pokemon.

Suicune ex decks frequently place high in online tournaments, and popular countermeasures include Decidueye ex decks and Mega Venusaur ex decks.
These Pokemon are able to mitigate Suicune ex's damage output by not relying on bench space.

Magnezone from Crimson Blaze comes with a powerful Mirror Shot Attack which can keep it in a battle for a long time, provided that your opponent flips poorly. Magnezone can be seen played with Darkrai ex, Mega Absol ex, and Pom-Pom Oricorio. It is likely that as the metagame develops, archetypes involving Magnezone will also improve.

Mega Altaria ex and Furfou Deck Strategy Guide and Card List
| The best decks are in the S tier, which are decks that have amazing consistency on top of being easy to build and function with minimal difficulty. | |
| A+ Tier Decks are some of the most powerful metagame options. These can function at the highest level, but face competition against S tiers. | |
| A Tier Decks are also powerful, and can also function at a high level, but may not be as easy to pilot as the S Tiers. | |
| B Tier Decks are decent, but would require more skill to achieve success with. | |
| C Tier consists of the game's Rogue Decks. These are great for countering specific threats but require skilled pilots and specific circumstances to succeed with. | |
| D Tier include decks that used to be stronger, and those kept to date with the latest sets, but lacks the consistency to keep up with the heavier hitters. |

I've been running a luxray (Mega Rising)/emolga (Wisdom of Sea and Sky) with 1 Oricorio which has got me to the master ball rankings and also had a 10 match win streak. The emolga deals 40 damage so it knocks out any 60 HP water basic card OHKO. Then I pivot to Luxray to sweep using its attack flash impact for 110 damage that only needs 2 energies. The added bonus is that Luxray has no retreat cost which is always good when in a crunch. The only deck I have a losing record to is Mega Altaria.
