Best Maushold Decks and Card List

Add to Watchlist

This guide will show you how to build some of the strongest Maushold Decks. We'll cover the best Maushold Deck builds, how to use them, as well how to beat Maushold Decks, and more!

Best Maushold Decks

Maushold Deck Variants Strengths and Weaknesses
Maushold Deck Icon Maushold Deck
[★ Best ★]
Strengths:
• Maushold can deal up to 240 damage with Family Beatdown.
Weaknesses:
• Drawing Tandemaus and Maushold normally reduces this deck's power.
• Relies on lucky coin flips.

Maushold Deck

Ledian ×1 Tandemaus ×2 Maushold ×2 Celestic Town Elder ×1
Team Rocket Grunt ×1 Rescue Scarf ×2 Will ×2 Silver ×2
Prank Spinner ×2 May ×2 Copycat ×1 Red Card ×2
Energy Used
Colorless Icon

This deck includes Tandemaus as the only Basic Pokemon to ensure it's drawn at the start of the match and use Flock early.

Ledian is used as a card to shuffle the other Tandemaus or any Maushold using May. Any non-Basic Pokemon card can be used for this purpose, so it is also guaranteed not to be in your starting hand.

Professor's Research and Poke Ball are also not included in this deck, as you wouldn't want to draw Tandemaus' evolution line by any means other than its Attack.

Alternate Card Suggestions

Alternate Cards Possible Cuts

Training Area
(B2 153)

・Swap Team Rocket Grunt for Training Area to exchange Energy disruption for increased Family Beatdown damage.

Poison Barb
(A3 146)

・Attach a Poison Barb to one of your Maushold to deal additional chip damage with Poison.

Maushold Deck Strategy Guide

Try to Shuffle Maushold Back to the Deck

The main gimmick of this deck is using Tandemaus's Flock with your first Energy to fill the Bench with Maushold and your other Tandemaus. Doing so maximizes the damage of Family Beatdown, which can reach up to 240 damage with lucky coin flips for only one Energy.

As much as possible, do not evolve Tandemaus normally into Maushold, unless you are out of options to shuffle Maushold back to your deck.

Attack With Maushold After Using Flock

Once your Bench is filled with Tandemaus and Maushold, switch in one of your Maushold and start gambling with Family Beatdown. If you're lucky, you can deal 180 or 240 damage using only one Energy. You can also play Will to guarantee at least 60 damage.

Attach Rescue Scarf to Tandemaus

Both Rescue Scarf cards are best used on Tandemaus so it can populate the Bench again for an extra coin flip during Family Beatdown. You can also attach a Rescue Scarf to a Maushold to evolve one of the Tandemaus in play, but this will yield fewer coin flips.

How to Beat Maushold Decks

Unequip Rescue Scarf With Guzma

Maushold relies on populating the Bench with Tandemaus and another Maushold to gain more coin flip attempts. Prevent your opponent from retrieving knocked-out Tandemaus or Maushold by removing any Rescue Scarf with Guzma.

Use Low-Cost Attackers

Low-cost attackers are very effective against Maushold decks, as both Maushold and Tandemaus have low HP. Do be careful when using ex Pokemon, especially Mega ex cards, as they can be OHKO'd if your opponent lands 4 heads with a use of Family Beatdown.

ok it turned out very hard to read; idk how but i have no mausholds yet but im gonna try: (2 tandemaus) (2 maushold) (2 lugia or rayquaza) (2 celestic elders) (2 p barbs or rocky helm) (2 pkm communication) (2 rescue scarf) (2 ilima) (lisia, starting plains, sabrina, prof research) very very versatile tech high skill

ok personally i think its better to go with like 2 bulky normals (like arceus, lugia, rayquaza) and run Ilima so you can run like pkm communication more consistently they can serve as bulky walls that can also use p barb and are the only ones capable of manually being pulled back to your hand without losing points (like mew) you can even run 2 p barbs on tandemaus + 2 celestic elders to sac them off for more chip and can even combo with mars im definitely on smt i cooked too hard
