Mega Altaria ex is joined by useful low-HP Basic Pokemon in this deck.
Jirachi can easily KO your opponents' benched Magikarp or Baby Pokemon. Chingling is a good starter that can delay your opponent's setup.

With a full Bench, Mega Altaria ex can deal 130 damage to opponents, and it's fairly easy to set up. You can use Professor's Research, Poke Ball, and May to try to get all your Basic Pokemon into your hand as soon as possible.
Your attacker in the Active Spot can be kept healthy with Indeedee ex's Watch Over Ability. If you have two Indeedee ex on your Bench, you can heal up to 40 damage every turn. Additionally, Indeedee ex is a decent enough secondary attacker that can deal good damage to Pokemon with expensive Attack Costs like Mega Gyarados ex.
Although you'd want Mega Altaria ex as your primary attacker, Giratina ex is in this deck as another offensive option in case you need to swap Mega Altaria out. When going up against Pom-Pom Oricorio, there is also a regular Altaria in this deck that you can use to damage it.

Lisia is a great Supporter in this deck because it can consistently find you your Basic Pokemon.
Mega Altaria ex is your primary attacker, which can be kept healthy by Dusknoir.
Eevee from Mega Rising can immediately evolve into Sylveon ex if it is in the Active Spot, and can draw you cards with Happy Ribbon as early as your first turn, increasing your chances of finding a turn 1 Lisia, or a turn 2 Rare Candy into Dusknoir.

To make the most out of Mega Altaria ex, you'll want to fill all three slots of your Bench with Pokemon. The best Pokemon to have on your Bench are those that can support Mega Altaria with their abilities, such as Indeedee ex or Sylveon ex, or Pokemon that can be used to pivot Mega Altaria out.

A single copy of Altaria from B1 is slotted into the deck as a countermeasure to Pom-Pom Oricorio. Consider setting one up quickly if you're up against a Lightning deck.

It is recommended to use Metal-type Pokemon with moves that can deal a lot of damage. Mega Altaria ex has 190 HP, so it's hard to knock out in one hit.
Pokemon such as Solgaleo ex and Melmetal ex are strong enough to take one hit from Mega Altaria ex, and knock it out in two turns.
Best Metal Type Deck and Cards Tier List

You can use Sabrina or Cyrus to reposition your opponent's Pokemon and prevent Mega Altaria ex from attacking you for a moment. You can also use it as an opporunity to knock out a Pokemon your opponent has been hiding on the Bench, lowering Mega Altaria ex's power when it switches back into the Active Slot.

Guys, is It normal that the top Alraria deck says It synergizes well with copycat but there is no copycat card in the deck? Also, there is a 'Red' card but I can't see the number next to it :/
