Mantyke is a great Pokemon to start with, immediately accelerating Energy to a benched Arceus ex or Larvitar. This Energy acceleration can expedite your Pokemon's setup and allow you to attack sooner.
Memory Light lets Tyranitar use Larvitar's Tackle, allowing it to be usable even without 4 Energy to use Land Crush.

Tyranitar's Land Crush attack can knock out most Pokemon with Power Link active. If Arceus is already discarded, you can resummon it with the Celestic Town Elder to reactivate Power Link.
Tyranitar itself also has a large amount of HP and can withstand a hit from even the most powerful ex attacks like Psydrive, Dimensional Storm, and Flare Blitz.

Both Tyranitar and Arceus will take a long time to build since they both require 4 energy to attack. This puts them at a disadvantage if you have a Fast Deck, especially one like Exeggutor ex since Tyranitar is weak against Grass-types.

You can use cards like Hitmonlee that can hit Pokemon on the Bench to snipe Larvitar.
Alternatively, you can use Sabrina or Cyrus to force Larvitar into the Active Spot to disrupt its set-up. Larvitar doesn't have any powerful moves, so you can easily defeat it before it fully evolves into Tyranitar.

Tyranitar and Arceus both need 4 energy to be able to attack. Use Pokemon that can discard energy like Beedrill ex to disrupt your opponent's set-up.
You can also use Team Rocket Grunt to remove energy if you win the Coin Tosses.
