In Event Solo Battles, you can battle against different decks that scale on difficulty. Once you have defeated a deck, the next deck will be unlocked containing harder cards than the last.
There are only 4 levels of Solo Battle: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert—with Expert giving you a guaranteed card pack pull from the event.

Mega Medicham ex can bypass effects from attacks and Abilities. This means that it cannot be countered by Pom-Pom Style Oricorio's Safeguard.

You may use fast Psychic-type Pokemon in order to land KOs quickly. Mega Gardevoir ex is a strong, Energy-efficient option.

Mega Medicham ex has a fairly high Attack Cost. If you remove its Energy, it will be unable to attack.

You may avoid having to deal with Mega Medicham ex by landing a KO on its pre-evolution. You may opt to move it to the Active Spot using Sabrina or Cyrus.

This deck clears several Battle Tasks. It contains Psychic-type Pokemon, a Mega Evolution ex, and Fantastical Parade cards.
Mega Gardevoir ex is played with Genetic Apex's Mewtwo ex in this deck as a way to KO Pokemon cleanly. Mega Gardevoir ex can consistently set up Mewtwo ex for multiple attacks, and retreat to safety thanks to Peculiar Plaza's Retreat Cost reduction.
Meloetta is the deck's ideal starter, as it can easily find you your key setup pieces with its Strange Singing Ability.

Hydreigon boasts a number of powerful attributes. being a non-ex, single-point Pokemon that can deal high damage and accelerate Energy onto itself.
Being a Stage 2, however comes with the limitation of being difficult to set up and being reliant on multiple turns and finding Rare Candy.
This deck also runs non-ex Absol, whose Leap Over Attack can damage Benched Pokemon. This pairs well with Cyrus, which can take damaged Pokemon off the Bench.
