Indeedee ex synergizes well with Giratina ex thanks to Watch Over's ability to heal HP from your Pokemon.
Because Giratina ex needs multiple turns to set up, it will inevitably take some damage, which Indeedee ex's Ability can help with.
Arceus ex is an alternate attacker, while non-ex Giratina serves as a tech against Pom-Pom Oricorio.

Tapu Koko ex can set itself up with Plasma Hurricane. Once it is ready on the second turn, use Mach Bolt every chance you get.
Pom-Pom Oricorio can work as a wall and a win-condition against decks that are not prepared to go up against Safeguard.
Zeraora is also a decent Pokemon to start with, since it is easy to set up. This is also the deck's only answer to Pom-Pom Oricorio, besides your own Pom-Pom Oricorio.
Arceus ex is an effective alternate attacker that can do a solid 130 damage. This is also the deck's highest damage dealer.
The deck features a variety of Supporter options, including Giovanni which can let Pom-Pom Oricorio and Zeraora OHKO opposing 60 HP Pokemon like Gible, Eevee, or Charmander.

Darkrai ex can sit on the Bench and have Energy attached to it, dealing passive damage with its Nightmare Aura Ability.
Komala is in the deck as a way to damage Pom-Pom Oricorio.

Dialga ex can consistently power up an Arceus ex, which can attack for as much as 130 the following turn. Because Arceus ex is a basic, it doesn't need to find evolutions like the other Dialga ex partners.
Space-Time Smackdown Shaymin is useful for helping your Pokemon stay out of KO range.

This Giratina ex deck enables Arceus ex to deal 130 damage as early as your second turn (or third if you went first) through the Giratina ex's Ability and Dawn. Shaymin's role is to fill the bench to increase Arceus ex's damage and heal Giratina ex from the damage inflicted by Chaotic Impact to itself.

Mantyke is a great Pokemon to start with, immediately accelerating Energy to a benched Arceus ex or Larvitar. This Energy acceleration can expedite your Pokemon's setup and allow you to attack sooner.
Memory Light lets Tyranitar use Larvitar's Tackle, allowing it to be usable even without 4 Energy to use Land Crush.

In addition to Arceus ex, this deck also features Oricorio as an attacker. It is able to counter ex Pokemon with its Ability, giving you a solution to some opponents that Arceus ex cannot handle.
While Oricorio can only deal 50 damage each turn, Crobat can help deal additional damage from the Bench with Cunning Link, provided Arceus ex is in play.
The Rare Candy gives the player the chance to have Crobat in play in earlier turns. Ilima provides a choice for you to safely return Arceus ex to your hand, preventing the opponent from scoring 2 points.

Carnivine with Arceus ex is used in this deck because of their ability to deal a good 50 damage on your first turn.
Use Carnivine to weaken your opponent's Pokemon. Having Arceus ex on the Bench will boost Carnivine's damage output, making it deal 50 damage for only one Energy. When the opponent's Pokemon are at low health, switch in Arceus ex to finish them off.
This deck has a line of Crobat and Rare Candy which can be used to snipe opposing Pokemon for 30.

![]() ![]() • Ilima can return a Colorless Pokemon back to your hand. allowing an Arceus ex to soak up damage while another Pokemon sets up on the Bench. |

Arceus ex benefits greatly from any form of Energy acceleration.
Dialga ex is a frequent partner for Arceus ex, that's able to set it up with Energy using Metallic Turbo. Just one use of Metallic Turbo and an Energy attachment for turn can get Arceus ex ready to attack.
Manaphy can also attach Energy to Arceus ex, despite it not being a Water-type because Manaphy does not have a condition that specifies that it can only attach to Water-types.
Using Dawn to transfer an Energy from a Benched Pokemon to Arceus ex can also help it attack one turn sooner.

Cards that can increase Arceus ex's damage are valuable to have. Red can help you KO 150 HP Pokemon like a fresh Giratina ex, while Giovanni can help Arceus ex OHKO Meowscarada.

Fighting-types are often difficult for Arceus ex to face off against. Gallade ex can easily knock Arceus ex out if it is already set up with three Energy, while Marshadow can OHKO it if a Pokemon was KOd the previous turn, and with the use of Red.

A deck with Pokemon like Magnezone and Skarmory can outpace Arceus ex decks with Skarmory's early pressure and Magnezone's ability to 2HKO Arceus ex with Thunder Blast.
Meowscarada can also KO Arceus ex with the help of Red, with Arceus ex being unable to KO it back without the use of Giovanni.
