The Mega Latios ex Drop Event will run from January 17, 2026 to January 27, 2026.
This event allows players to participate in solo AI battles featuring the Mega Latios ex card, along with receiving useful rewards by completing battle-related missions.
To participate in solo battles, you will need to use Event Stamina. Event Stamina is consumed for each win, meaning that losing won’t affect your stamina in this mode.
Additionally, you can replenish Event Stamina with Event Hourglasses, which you can earn as rewards from the beginner and intermediate solo battles, or Poke Gold.

The featured card, Mega Latios ex, is the best card to pull in the event. It is the first Mega ex Dragon-type that can function as an effective finisher in your deck.
Charmeleon is also a good card to pull. It has an Ability that can accelerate Energy for your Active Pokemon, allowing you to use strong attacks faster.

Whenever you receive a promo pack as a reward, you can open it in your gift list found in the upper right of the main menu.
A pack only contains one of the available promo cards, so try to get and open as many packs as you can!

In Event Solo Battles, you can battle against different decks that scale on difficulty. Once you have defeated a deck, the next deck will be unlocked containing harder cards than the last.
There are only 4 levels of Solo Battle: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert—with Expert giving you a guaranteed card pack pull from the event.

Mantyke can accelerate Energy for Mega Latios ex, allowing it to attack faster. You may want to land a KO before it uses Splashy Toss.

You may want to use Pokemon with low Attack Costs in order to land KOs faster. Mega Absol ex and Mega Lopunny ex are good options that are able to deal a lot of damage.
Pom-Pom Style Oricorio is another good option, as it can wall attacks from Mega Latios ex.

You may prevent Mega Latios ex from attacking by discarding its Energy. Because of its high Attack Cost, it may take a while before it can gain back the Energy it will lose.

| Deck | Commentary |
|---|---|
CB Magnezone and Pom-Pom Oricorio Deck |
Strengths: • Magnezone can be difficult to KO because of Mirror Shot's effect. • Magnezone can be set up with Genetic Apex Magneton • Pom-Pom Oricorio is immune to any attacks from ex Pokemon thanks to its Ability. Weaknesses: • Pokemon in the deck have low HP, making them easy to KO. • Magnezone may have trouble scoring KOs because of Mirror Shot's mediocre damage output. |

While using Pom-Pom Oricorio to nullify attacks from ex Pokemon, accelerate Lightning Energy to Genetic Apex Magneton with its Ability. Once set up, evolve Magneton to Crimson Blaze Magnezone.
Promote your fully-set up Magnezone to the Active Spot since it will be your main attacker. Magnezone's Mirror Shot will force the opponent to flip a coin whenever they attack. When flipping Tails, the attack does not happen. Taking advantage of this disruption will be key to victory.

Mega Absol ex and Hydreigon Deck |
Strengths: • Mega Absol ex has an inexpensive Attack in Darkness Claw, which can 2HKO most ex Pokemon. • Darkness Claw can be disruptive if it can discard a Supporter card from your opponent's hand. • Hydreigon's massive damage output can make up for Mega Absol ex's relatively low attack power. Weaknesses: • Mega Absol ex has low HP compared to other Mega ex Pokemon. |

Mega Absol ex, Mars, and the Red Card can all be used in this deck to disrupt your opponent's setup.
Although Mega Absol ex's Darkness Claw has a great disruptive effect, it lacks the power you may want in the late game. Hydreigon is here to make up for Mega Absol ex's damage output. Switch it in if you need to deal with high HP Pokemon or if you need to go up against Pom-Pom Oricorio.

Mega Lopunny ex and Lucario Deck |
Strengths: • Mega Lopunny ex can OHKO most Pokemon with lucky flips, and Confuse Pokemon don't get KOd. • Hitmontop is a great early-game attacker that can spread damage consistently. • Lucario can help Hitmontop deal more damage, putting more Pokemon into KO range. Weaknesses: • Reliant on lucky flips to score KOs, and risks not dealing damage at all if you don't flip heads. • The deck requires careful planning and Energy allocation. |

Mega Lopunny ex works as the deck's finisher, while Hitmontop applies early to mid-game pressure. Lucario synergiezes with Hitmontop, making it deal even more damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon.
