Gigalith ex is a Stage 2 Pokemon with a high Attack Cost. It is best to set it up in the Bench.
You may place an Energy-efficient attacker in your Active Spot during the early turns. Passimian ex is a good option, as it can transfer its Energy to Gigalith ex upon being knocked out.

You may use Lyra to send Gigalith ex to the Bench without using up its hefty Retreat Cost. Once you put it back into the Active Spot, you will be able to use Megaton Cannon for two consecutive turns as Retreating removes the attack restriction from Megaton Cannon.

Megaton Cannon deals 140 damage, which may not be enough to KO bulkier Pokemon. You may use Rocky Helmet to deal additional chip damage.

Gigalith ex can take a lot of time to set up. You may be able to secure a quick victory by using powerful and Energy-efficient Pokemon.

Gigalith ex has a high Attack Cost. If you discard its Energy, it will be unable to attack.

Gigalith ex decks may need to rely on other cards to evolve faster and deal additional damage. You may shuffle the cards in your opponent's hand back into the deck in order to disrupt their strategy.
