Aegislash Deck Variants	Strengths and Weaknesses
Aegislash and Togedemaru Deck	Strengths: • Deck has lots of ways to increase Togedemaru and Aegislash's damage output. • Makes use of single-point Pokemon to trade points favorably especially against ex and Mega ex decks. Weaknesses: • No way to accelerate Energy besides manually attaching from the Energy Zone. • Needs to properly utilize resources to achieve damage.

This deck's strength lies in its ability to trade points favorably against ex decks, and more importantly, Mega ex decks.

Togedemaru can reliably deal 30 damage for 2 Energy. While this may seem negligible at first, this Attack also lets Togedemaru deal another 30 damage the following turn if it gets damaged by an opponent's Attack.
The deck runs damage modifiers such as Sophocles and Aegislash, with Aegislash being the deck's Ace besides Togedemaru.

Memory Light can allow Aegislash to use Honedge's Pierce for only 1 Energy, resulting in 50 damage thanks to Aegislash's Cursed Metal Ability.

Rocky Helmet can also pile on damage on your opponent's side, letting you score KOs quicker.

Use Aegislash's Damage Buff to Achieve KOs

Aegislash' Curse Metal adds an additional 30 damage to damage dealt by your Psychic or Metal Pokemon. This Ability also stacks if you have a second Aegislash in play, increasing your damage by 60. These damage modifiers can reach high numbers when paired with damage modifiers like Sophocles, Red, or cards that can deal chip damage like Rocky Helmet.

How to Beat Aegislash Decks

OHKO Aegislash and Its Partners

Aegislash decks are great at getting OHKOs or 2HKOs. Immediately knocking out their attackers before a backup attacker can put them at a disadvantage.

Energy Denial

Because Aegislash decks don't tyically run Energy Acceleration, Energy denial can be a great countermeasure to them.
