[★ Best ★]
Strengths:
• Vaporeon can disrupt the opponent and make it harder for decks requiring a lot of Energy to set up.
• Palkia ex deals a lot of damage and can damage Benched Pokemon.
• Manaphy can allow both Vaporeon and Palkia ex to set up quicker.
Weaknesses:
• Vaporeon's Hyper Whirlpool requires a bit of luck in order to affect the opponent.
• Reliant on Manaphy or Misty for set up.

Manaphy and Misty are used in this deck to enable Vaporeon and Palkia ex. It's a good idea to use set up Vaporeon early, so that it can disrupt the opponent before they have a chance to fully set up their own Pokemon.

Although Vaporeon can deal damage, it's not enough to take on bulkier Pokemon. Palkia ex is the main damage dealer for this deck. Its Dimensional Storm attack requires a lot of Energy, but it can also hit Benched Pokemon.

Palkia is the ideal target for Misty, but having Vaporeon out in the early game can also help you buy some time to set up Palkia.

Vaporeon Deck Strategy Guide

Use Manaphy or Misty to Set Up Vaporeon

Vaporeon is best paired with Manaphy or Misty. It requires three Energy to attack, so it can take a couple of turns before this Pokemon becomes useful if you don't have a card that generates additional Energy.

How to Beat Vaporeon Decks

Use Lightning-Type Pokemon

Pokemon in Vaporeon decks tend to be weak to Lightning-type Pokemon. Lightning-type Pokemon that can easily be set up are ideal, so that you can pressure your opponent before they have a chance to set up.

Generate More Energy

To counteract Vaporeon's Energy-draining move, it's best to use cards that can give you additional Energy such as Zeraora and Magneton. Magneton in particular is good against Vaporeon, since it can get Energy for itself every turn without being in the Active Spot.

It's best to also use Pokemon that don't require a lot of Energy, so if you do end up losing Energy, it won't take too much effort to get enough to attack.
