Alternate Card Suggestions

Alternate Cards Possible Cuts

Guzma
(A3 151)

・Guzma can be a good alternative to Giant Cape as it will discard any of your opponent's equipped Pokemon Tools. This will remove additional health from Giant Cape or prevent you from taking damage from Rocky Helmet.

Pokemon Communication
(A2 146)

・You can also opt to add Pokemon Communication in your deck so you have a chance of getting Cosmog's evolution cards.

Giovanni
(A1 223)

・A single copy of Giovanni can allow Skarmory to KO 60 HP Pokemon like Cosmog and Sprigatito.

Solgaleo ex and Snorlax Deck

Snorlax ×2 Cosmog ×2 Cosmoem ×1 Solgaleo ex ×2
Giant Cape ×2 Cyrus ×1 Barry ×2 Iono ×1
Rare Candy ×2 Lillie ×1 Poke Ball ×2 Professor's Research ×2
Energy Used

Snorlax's high HP makes it a good wall while building Solgaleo ex in the Bench. Use Solgaleo ex's ability to place it in the Active Spot when ready, bypassing Snorlax's high retreat cost.

Solgaleo ex Deck Strategy Guide

Use Rare Candy to Quickly Set Up Solgaleo ex

Rare Candy can allow for explosive turns, having Solgaleo ex attack as soon as it evolves.

Set Solgaleo ex Up on the Bench

Cosmog can Teleport out of the Active Spot, returning safely to your Bench. There, you can attach Energy to it, and eventually evolve it into Solgaleo ex. Be sure to have another Pokemon on your Bench so that you aren't susceptible to Sabrina.

Use Rising Road to Switch Solgaleo ex Into the Active Spot

Solgaleo ex only needs 2 Energy to start attacking. Once set up, switch it into the Active Spot using its Rising Road Ability, and start using Sol Breaker. Use cards like Lillie to keep Solgaleo ex healthy.

How to Beat Solgaleo ex Decks

KO Solgaleo ex After it Takes Recoil Damage

Solgaleo ex goes down to 170 HP from 180 after a successful Sol Breaker. This puts it in range of Charizard ex's Steam Artillery.

Use cards like Red or Giovanni to knock it out if its HP is full.

KO Cosmog Before it Evolves

Use cards like Sabrina or Cyrus to gust out Cosmog and knock it out before it becomes a threat.

Hitmonlee is also capable of 2HKOing a benched Cosmog, forcing your opponents to evolve right away or risk losing it.

This deck is ridiculously good with Shiinotic if you don't brick. I've had matches where I had both Solgaleo out on like turn 4. When one takes too much damage you can Rising Road the other one in and heal back up with Lillie if it'll be enough to prevent a KO with Cyrus or whatever.

6 Wundernase Wundernase 7 months

It is rated now as D-Tier, but it should at least A/A+ Tier, because it is easy to play and pretty solid.
