・Lickilicky ex is hard to take out once set up, and is capable of taking KOs of its own. ・Dialga ex is reliable for setting up Lickilicky ex and is an ideal starter. |

Dialga ex is the deck's best starter. Attach Energy to it and use Metallic Turbo as soon as possible. Lickitung and a Lickilicky ex follow up the following turn is also good in a starting hand.
Attach Giant Cape to whichever Active Pokemon you choose, and hopefully draw into X Speed and Leaf for a swift retreat later.

Mew ex has the lightest Retreat Cost among all the Pokemon in the deck. Consider putting it in the Active spot instead of Lickitung if you don't have Dialga ex. Use cards like Poke Ball, Pokemon Communication, and Professor's Research to get Dialga, and start setting up with Metallic Turbo.
You can also attach Energy with Metallic Turbo to Mew ex, allowing it to use Genome Hacking earlier.

・Decks that require setup like Dragonite may have trouble against Dialga ex and Lickilicky ex, as the deck's payoff for its setup is more rewarding. |

![]() Fighting Decks |
・Fighting decks with low cost Attackers can pull ahead in the game before we are able to set up. |
Dialga ex makes the deck very consistent, with the downside of taking two Energy attachments to use Metallic Turbo. Once Lickilicky ex has been set up, however, it is able to tank and mount offense, building itself up as a win condition late in the game.
Lickilicky ex has a hefty four Retreat Cost. Stranding Lickilicky ex or Lickitung before they are ready to Attack while you set up your own board is very disadvantageous for this deck and is a glaring weakness for it, making it so they have to use up resources like Leaf and X Speed.
Card | Explanation |
---|---|
![]() Yanmega ex |
・ Yanmega ex can take Lickilicky ex's place as a primary attacker partnered with Dialga ex. ・ It is also a great choice for its type advantage against Weavile ex and Darkrai ex. |
![]() Druddigon |
・ Druddigon and stalling may also be effective, but you will have to rely on manual Energy attachments. Druddigon also makes the deck susceptible to Sabrina plays, having more options to get stranded in the Active Spot. |

This deck composition is clearly less optimized without Dialga ex, but makes use of Druddigon and a stall strategy. Druddigon and Rocky Helmet can deal as much as 40 every time it takes damage thanks to Rocky Helmet and Rough Skin.
The deck is also packed with 2 X Speed and 2 Leaf to make sure our Pokemon don't get stranded by Sabrina in the Active. Dawn can help fix your Energy attachments, and get an attacker out earlier.
