Mega Blaziken ex is the deck's primary attacker with Heatmor as a single-pont attacker that can target the Bench. These two Pokemon work in tandem, letting you choose which of your opponent's Pokemon to KO.
Additionally, Heatmor can KO low HP Basic Pokemon, such as Baby Pokemon or Magikarp.
Cyrus synergizes with Heatmor, allowing you to score KOs with Mega Blaziken ex whenever necessary

This Mega Blaziken ex deck features Entei ex to help draw the cards necessary for its setup using its Legendary Pulse Ability. This is especially useful for Mega Blaziken ex to increase the chances of getting the cards needed to complete its setup as early as possible.

Even with a low-cost attack, Mega Blaziken ex still needs all the cards required to complete its two-stage evolution before it can take the stage. Make use of Entei ex's Legendary Pulse during the first few turns to help draw key cards from your deck earlier.

You can also use Professor's Research and May Supporter cards to further speed up your search or as alternatives if Entei ex didn't show up early.

A single copy of Blaziken from B1 is slotted into the deck as a countermeasure to Pom-Pom Oricorio. Consider setting one up quickly if you're up against a Lightning deck.

The rule for Mega Evolved Pokemon is that defeating one rewards you with 3 points, resulting in an automatic win. If your Torchic has low HP, you can opt to evolve it into a non-ex Blaziken instead to avoid the risk of an immediate loss.

If you've previously discarded a Fire Energy, either by getting a Pokemon with a Fire Energy knocked out or as payment for a Retreat, you can use a Flame Patch on a Mega Blaziken ex as it switches in, then attach the free Fire Energy that you get in the same turn so it can attack right away.

You can prevent Entei ex from using its Ability by force switching a Benched Pokemon in with Sabrina. This slows down your opponent's drawing ability, and you can knock out an unprepared Torchic to stop a Mega Blaziken ex from setting foot on the battlefield.

If your opponent didn't bring a non-ex attacker, a Pom-Pom Oricorio can stall the entire deck once both Torchic are already fully evolved. Take note that the Burn effect will still go through even if Oricorio blocks the damage, so make sure to bring recovery cards to keep Oricorio healthy.
