When Will the Next Expansion Set Release

Our approximate release date is based on previous calendar releases and is subject to change based on official announcements.

After looking at the schedule of previous expansion release dates, it is likely that the next major expansion set will release around the middle of December 2025.

Ther current expansion, Mega Rising, has the same release date as Genetic Apex. Following this pattern, the next set might parallel Mythical Island, releasing at December 17, 2025.

What to Expect in the Next Expansion

Similar Event Cycle to Mega Rising

Mega Rising follows a different cycle compared to the other recent expansions. Notably, it sees the return of Emblem Events and two-part Wonder Picks.

The next expansion will likely follow a similar cycle. This means it will start off with an Emblem Event, followed by a Drop Event, then the two-part Wonder Pick Event.

More Mega ex Pokemon

There might be more Mega ex Pokemon cards in addition to the Mega Rising cards. Since they have a Mega Blaziken ex card, they may also release cards for Mega Swampert and Mega Sceptile.
