Passimian ex is the deck's ideal start, which can deal a decent enough 60 damage for two Energy. We would want to commit Energy to Passimian ex if we start with it, and have it attack until it is eventually KOd, where it can use its Offload Pass Ability to transfer Energy to a benched Partner.
Lycanroc ex is an excellent recipient of Energy, who can deal 130 damage with Lycanfang.
The deck runs Mars, which is useful for when Passimian ex is KOd, and Red for when Lycanroc ex needs to hit the 150 HP benchmark.

This deck runs a sole copy of Rockruff, which maximizes your odds of starting with it. Its Signs of Evolution Attack can get the only copy of Lycanroc ex from the deck.
Rampardos is played alongside Lycanroc ex as a powerful and effective single-point attacker for later in the game.

Lycanroc ex's Lycanfang deals a solid 130 damage, but comes at the cost of discarding an Energy. This isn't too disadvantageous, as you can commit your Energy attachments for the turn solely to Lycanroc ex. This will, however, hinder you from setting up your other Pokemon with Energy.

Most Grass decks are able to be effective with only a few Energy attachments, making them quicker to set up compared to Lycanroc ex.
Pokemon that can out-damage Lycanroc ex are a good matchup against it.

Lycanroc ex has a steep Attack Cost, so you may prevent it from attacking by removing its Energy. Beedrill ex can remove one Energy per turn while attacking. You can also opt to use Team Rocket Grunt, as lucky flips can allow you to remove all of Lycanroc ex's Energy at once.
Guzzlord ex can also lock it out of attacking for the entire game.
