Mega Pidgeot ex, once set up, can be a nuisance to take down, thanks to Giant Twister's added effect of discarding Energy from the Defending Pokemon.
Zeraora can help expedite Mega Pidgeot ex's setup thanks to its Thunderclap Flash and Elemental Switch.
Copycat allows you to replenish your hand after using up resources for your setup.

Mega Pidgeot ex, once set up, can be a nuisance to take down, thanks to Giant Twister's added effect of discarding Energy from the Defending Pokemon.
Raikou ex's Legendary Pulse allows you to draw an extra card at the end of the turn, which can help find necessary cards for your Mega Pidgeot ex's setup.
Its ideal Bench targets would be Mega Pokemon ex, which can win you the game if you can knock them out, or put your opponents at a great disadvantage if you can knock their Pokemon out before they evolve.

Using Will eliminates the luck factor by guaranteeing a heads flip on the first coin you flip on your turn. Using Will ensures that Mega Pidgeot ex will always discard at least one Energy from your opponent's Pokemon

Because Mega Pidgeot ex is a Colorless-type, it can easily be paired with other powerful Pokemon.

Pom-Pom Oricorio is a natural counter to Mega Pidgeot ex, thanks to its Ability to nullify damage from ex Pokemon, its ability to hit for super-effective damage, and its inexpensive Attack Cost.
Setting up a Pom-Pom Oricorio forces the Mega Pidgeot ex player to set up another attacker, and not rely on Mega Pidgeot ex.
