[★ Best ★] |
Strengths:
• Dragonite's devastating Draco Meteor can win games. • Aerodactyl can be disruptive with Primal Wingbeat, shuffling your opponent's Active Pokemon back into their deck. Dragonite is paired with Aerodactyl in this deck as an alternate win condition. Aerodactyl can shuffle your opponent's Active Pokemon back into their deck on a lucky coin flip, which can eliminate their most important Pokemon.
Kangaskhan is used so that you may be able to deal up to 60 damage with Dizzy Punch in the early game.

Aerodactyl evolves from a Fossil Item Card, meaning it cannot use any moves before it evolves. It is best to put an energy-efficient attacker in the Active Spot while Aerodactyl sets up in the Bench.

Aerodactyl's Primal Wingbeat not only disrupts the opponent's set-up, but can also win the game if they do not have enough Pokemon in their deck. You can win a game if your opponent has no Pokemon left in play. However, this win strategy is difficult to execute as it requires lucky Primal Wingbeat flips.

Lightning-type decks that do not require much setup can be effective in dealing with Aerodactyl decks. In addition to the type advantage, they can also attack much quicker due to efficient Attack Costs, which may allow them to secure KOs.
Best Lightning Type Deck and Cards Tier List

You may use cards that can do damage to Benched Pokemon to knock out the Old Amber before it evolves. This prevents the opponent from securing the win condition with Aerodactyl.

I'm really surprised no mention of Tauros anywhere not even in alternative! I created and ran this deck myself (before seeing it online) but I ended up taking out the Aeradactyls and Kanghaskan and Farfetchd for Tauros. One more energy but no coin flip and 20 damage on average more but one less retreat cost and doesnt get one shot to the same extent farfetched does, which if he does get feinted is usually a loss anyways. That or farfetchd + red card (for their giovani)
