Mega Ampharos ex is a powerful main attacker that can also damage your opponent's Bench. However, it is a Stage 2 Pokemon, so it may take time to set up.

Raikou ex is used as both an early-game attacker and a support Pokemon to Mega Ampharos ex. It can draw cards with its Legendary Pulse Ability, which can help in trying to draw into evolution cards or Rare Candy. You may also attach an Electrical Cord onto it, which can allow it to transfer its Energy to Mega Ampharos ex once Knocked Out.

Pom-Pom Oricorio is another early-game option. It may also be used to wall the opponent's ex Pokemon.

Use the Electrical Cord With Early-Game Attackers

Mega Ampharos ex may require a bit of setting up. It not only has a relatively high Attack Cost, but it is also a Stage 2 Pokemon.

You may attach the Electrical Cord to a fast Pokemon to remedy this issue. This allows you to utilize an early-game attacker, as well as use their attached Energy for Mega Ampharos ex once KO'd.

Raikou ex is a good option, as its Legendary Pulse ability allows you to draw more cards, which can help in trying to search for evolution cards. You may also use Pom-Pom Oricorio and Zeraora as single-point options.

Use Cyrus to Draw Damaged Pokemon Out

Mega Ampharos ex can damage Benched Pokemon. This can give you the opportunity to use Cyrus to bring them to the Active Spot, allowing you to score a vital KO.

You may use Red Card or Mars to disrupt the opponent. These cards can reduce the number of cards in their hand, which can disrupt their strategy.

Discard the Opponent's Electrical Cord

Electrical Cord can accelerate Energy onto Mega Ampharos ex, which removes the need to manually attach Energy to it.

You may use Guzma to discard the attached Electrical Cord. This removes one avenue of Energy acceleration for the opponent, making Mega Ampharos ex's setup slower.
