The deck features multiple ways to inflict Poison including Promo Alolan Grimer's Poison Gas Attack, Nihilego's New Wave, and Weezing's Gas Leak Ability.
Nihilego can then increase Poison damage with its Ability, softening up opposing Pokemon for later KOs. Once set up, Alolan Muk ex can inflict one of many Status Conditions like Sleep, Burn, Paralysis, Confusion, or Poison.

Grafaiai can inflict Poison on the Defending Pokemon on a lucky coin flip, while Alolan Muk ex can inflict either Sleep, Burn, Paralysis, Confusion, or Poison, with some Status Conditions being able to stack with others.


Alolan Muk needs multiple turns to set up. Use cards like Giant Cape and Pokemon Center Lady to keep Alolan Muk ex in the battle longer.


Fighting decks can outspeed Alolan Muk ex, and can inflict more damage to it than Alolan Muk ex can dish out. Rampardos can easily deal 150 damage to Alolan Muk with Head Smash, with Lucario increasing the damage even further with Fighting Coach.
