Use Fast and Energy-Efficient Fire-Types

You may counter your opponents with a Type advantage by using Fire-types. It highly recommended to use Pokemon that can attack immediately in order to damage your opponents right away.

Ninetales and Rapidash are good options, as they only need two Energies to deal good damage. You can also opt to boost their damage with Blaine.

SR Charizard ex is Highly Recommended

If you are only aiming for a clear, Charizard ex from the Shining Revelry expansion is the best counter to this deck.

It is able to accelerate Energy with Stoke, which allows it to attack its opponents with Steam Artillery as fast as possible. Thanks to its Type advantage, it is able to OHKO every Pokemon in the opposing deck, even if they are equipped with the Leaf Cape.

Discard the Opponent's Leaf Cape

The Leaf Cape can be used to increase the HP of the opposing Pokemon, putting them above OHKO range. You may use Guzma to discard the Leaf Cape. This will bring them back to their base HP, making them easier to knock out.

Darkrai ex's Ability is utilized to deal additional damage. The Energy attached to Darkrai ex is then transfered to Weavile ex using Dawn. Afterwards, Weavile ex can attack with Scratching Nails for 70 damage.

Rapidash functions as the early game attacker of the deck, putting Pokemon in KO range for Ninetales. With the assistance of Blaine, Ninetales can deal up to 120 damage upon being switched in.
