This deck has Skarmory as an early-game, low-cost attacker. It can deal 50 damage with a Tool attached while Tinkaton ex sets up in the Bench. When Tinkaton ex is ready, it can be switched in to use Terrific Thumping.

Since Tinkaton ex is a Stage 2 Pokemon, it can take a while to set up. It is ideal to evolve it in the Bench as another Pokemon is in the Active Spot.
Skarmory is ideal for this, as it has a low Attack Cost, only needing one Energy. It can also deal 50 damage when it has a Tool attached, with 20 additional damage upon being attacked if it has the Rocky Helmet equipped.
There may be times when Skarmory isn't in your hand during the early game, or even situations where your unevolved Tinkatink or Tinkatuff are forced into the Active Spot. To mitigate the damage they might take before they evolve, you may equip them with the Giant Cape to increase their bulk.
Since Tinkaton ex takes time to set up, you can take advantage of this by knocking out its pre-evolutions. Sabrina and Cyrus can draw them out to the Active Spot, but you can also use cards that can damage Benched Pokemon such as Genetic Apex Hitmonlee.
You may also take advantage of Tinkaton ex's weakness to Fire-types. Both Genetic Apex Charizard ex and Shining Revelry Charizard ex can knock it out in one hit.
For cards that cannot OHKO Tinkaton ex due to its considerable bulk, they may rely on the additional damage from Red or the Rocky Helmet.
