Sylveon ex and its ability to draw cards with Happy Ribbon can help you quickly set up Charizard ex.
Once set up, use Charizard ex's Stoke to accelerate Energy onto it, then use Steam Artillery to score KOs afterwards.
Use Lillie to keep Charizard ex in the battle longer.
Genetic Apex Flareon works as a countermeasure to Pom-Pom Oricorio. Do your best to set it up and take a KO before it gets sniped by Greninja and gusted with Cyrus.
Genetic Apex Charmander can KO Baby Pokemon in one hit, while also putting opposing Charizard ex in KO range of your own Charizard ex's Steam Artillery.
Wisdom of Sea and Sky Eevee can help find important evolution cards, like a Sylveon ex for more card draw the following turn.
This deck also runs Red to allow Charizard ex to KO Crobat ex who has 170 HP.

This deck makes use of Shining Revelry Charizard ex as the deck's main attacker with Incineroar ex as its backup.
Charizard ex can handily KO most ex Pokemon using Steam Artillery after setting itself up with Stoke, while Incineroar ex can be a tank that is hard to KO. It can also inflict burn on Pom-Pom Oricorio with Firefang and whittle down its health.

Additionally, Entei ex works as a secondary attacker that only needs two Energy to use.
Heatran from Triumphant Light is a non-ex option against Pom-Pom Oricorio.

This deck uses the high damage output of Blacephalon and Charizard ex. Blacephalon is a single-point attacker that you can position easier than Turtonator thanks to its lower Retreat Cost.
If your opponent knocks out Charizard ex, you may use Lusamine to transfer that discarded Energy onto Blacephalon. This allows you to quickly finish the game with Beat Punk.

Charizard ex is a Stage 2 that benefits from Rare Candy, which greatly speeds up its setup. It can evolve from Charmander, then immediately use Stoke and position itself for a sweep. It no longer needs Moltres ex to set up, as it can set up and attack earlier and quicker thanks to Rare Candy.
This version runs a single copy of Cleffa to help find important evolution cards for your setup.

This build would require you to send out a Druddigon into the Active Spot while you set up your Charmanders on your Bench.
This deck list notably makes use of Water Energy, which can allow Druddigon to attack on occasion, and to give your Charizard ex line a recovery option through Irida.
Charizard ex's Stoke only needs one Fire Energy, and a single Stoke turn can get Steam Artillery ready the following turn.

This deck list follows a more standard Fire-type Deck build with Moltres ex as your ideal starter, and makes use of new cards like Lillie and Rare Candy.
You also have the option between two Charizard exs, with one from Shining Revelry, and the other from Genetic Apex, both of which have their own strengths and limitations. Shining Revelry Charizard ex does not require you to discard Energy but caps out at 150 and costs 5, whereas Genetic Apex Charizard ex can do 200 and has the downside of discarding 2 Fire Energy.
This version runs a copy of Genetic Apex Charizard to help in matchups against Pom-Pom Oricorio, which Charizard ex cannot damage.

This deck combines the speed of Turtonator while also being able to hit hard with SR Charizard ex's Steam Artillery. By incorporating Turtonator and Kiawe, it is possible to play aggresively while also having an answer for Pom-Pom Oricorio.
| Alternate Cards | Possible Cuts |
|---|---|
![]() Sabrina (A1 225) |
![]() ![]() ・Pull your opponent's Benched Pokemon to the front to disrupt their plays in exchange for survivability. |

Rare Candy can allow Charizard ex to start using Stoke as early as your second turn.

You would ideally have Charizard ex ready on your third turn. Use Pokemon Communication to fish out evolution cards from your deck. Once you get Charizard ex up, use Stoke to get it ready to attack.

Steam Artillery deals a sizeable 150 damage at the cost of five Energy. This can take out most ex Pokemon without Giant Cape.

Decks with quicker setups like Dialga ex decks or Giratina ex decks can be difficult for Charizard ex to go up against. Despite having a type advantage over Dialga ex, its usual partner, Arceus ex can run through your side of the field once set up.
Be sure to make use of options available to you to stall out turns as you draw into cards you need.

Decks with Single Point Attackers and no ex Pokemon will force Charizard ex to attack three times instead of two to achieve a win.
A deck with Pokemon like Rampardos or Skarmory can outpace Charizard ex decks with speed and offensive pressure.

Agreed, whoever made this is dumb. The Silvally deck has better odd. Hell, Charizard alone in a deck works better.

Bruh. I built the Entei/Charizard ex deck to try in ranked. Bricked so hard I never drew any rare candies. Until I saw o only had one card left in my deck and that the deck list didn’t actually include any rare candies.
