PTCGP Trading Feature Update
The Pokemon TCG Pocket Team has implemented changes to trading after July 29, 2025 to Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket (PTCG Pocket). Read on to learn more about the new trading features!

Pokemon TCG Pocket Team Announces Trading Updates

The Pokemon TCG Pocket team previously made an announcement about the changes that they were planning to make to the trading feature. This was released in the game's official X account and the News tab in the game. It was released on July 29, 2025.

Changes Implemented According to Community Feedback

Back in February 1, 2025, the Pokemon TCG Pocket official account made an announcement that they were looking to improve the trading system based on player feedback. While the previous trading system restrictions were made to prevent bots and Terms of Use Violations, it has raised many concerns about its cost and inconvenience. These new changes were made in response to this feedback.

Trading Feature Update

Trade Tokens Replaced with Shinedust for Trading

Shinedust Trading Currency

Instead of Trade Tokens, Shinedust is the main currency for trading.

Trade Tokens, which were previously required to trade cards of 3◇, 4◇, and 1☆ rarity, will not be used for trading anymore. Players no longer need to exchange copies of their cards in order to obtain them.

This currency has been replaced by Shinedust, which players can exchange Trade Tokens for after the update.

Wishlist a card

You may now wishlist cards for trading. Simply open your collections, select the card you want to wish for, then tap on the heart icon in the upper right corner.

Players will be able to exchange the remaining Trade Tokens that they have for Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust at the Shop. You may find this under the 'Other' Shop menu.

You may only exchange Trade Tokens until next year, July 29, 2026.
