Energy Used |
Bastiodon is a difficult Pokemon to go up against once set up, and oftentimes players concede at the sight of it. Its Guarded Grill Ability makes it very difficult to KO.
Mew ex is also in this list because of its synergy with Dialga ex. Its Genome Hacking allows it to KO the likes of Palkia ex or Charizard ex.

Rare Candy can allow Bastiodon to be set up immediately, skipping the need to evolve into Shieldon
.
Bastiodon can mitigate all damage dealt to it with Guarded Grill and lucky flips. Favorable flips could mean that Bastiodon never takes damage. Having a hefty 160 HP means that it can take multiple hits anyways, Guarded Grill can ensure that Bastiodon stays in the match for as long as possible.
Dialga ex is your ideal start in a Bastiodon Deck, and you would always want a turn 1 Energy attachment into a turn 2 Metallic Turbo.
It can also pivot from an accelerator to an attacker with the use of Dawn, by transfering an Energy from a Benched Pokemon and a turn attachment of Energy, which meets the Energy requirement of Heavy Impact.
Beedrill ex can sometimes be a problem if it is able to quickly set up. Going up against a Beedrill ex while Dialga ex lacks a second Energy means that it won't be able to successfully use Metallic Turbo.
Team Rocket Grunt supports this gameplan, further denying Dialga ex of essential Energy to pay for its Attack Cost.
By preventing Dialga ex from setting up, Bastiodon will also be less effective.
Best Beedrill ex Decks and Card List
Skull Fossil only has 40 HP. This allows it to easily get KOd by Pokemon that can do 50 damage on their first turn. Use cards like Sabrina and Cyrus to draw it out into the Active Spot and knock it out.
