This deck allows you to inflict Poison on your opponent in order to make up for Mega Absol ex's relatively low damage output. You can attach Poison Barb to your Pokemon in the Active Spot, then have Nihilego on your Bench to increase the Poison damage every turn.
Weezing's Gas Leak can inflict Poison when Weezing is in the Active Spot, which works well with Nihilego's More Poison Ability.

Weezing and Koga make an appearance in this deck. Both cards synergize with each other with Weezing inflicting Poison, and Koga getting it out of the Active Spot. Toxicroak can also inflict Poison with Toxic, which also stacks with Nihilego's More Poison, dealing as much as 30 damage during Pokemon Checkup.
Absol can deal boosted damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon if it has Status Conditions, which shouldn't be hard to inflict with all the deck's options.
This deck runs Poison Barb, which enables the deck's Poison-centric strategies.

Weezing can put pressure on your opponent's Pokemon by inflicting Poison. If they do not have the means to heal it, they can be forced to choose between taking incremental damage and switching out their Pokemon.

Weezing has a hefty Retreat Cost, which can make it difficult to put your main attackers in the Active Spot once they are ready. Leaf can be used to decrease the Retreat Cost, making it easier to Bench.
Alternatively, you can use Koga to return Weezing into your hand. This way, it can be removed even without any Energy attached.

Trainer Cards such as Lum Berry and Pokemon Center Lady can cure the Poison that Weezing inflicts. You may also cure Poison by Benching your Pokemon or evolving it.

Weezing can only inflict Poison while it's in the Active Spot. You can switch Weezing out using Sabrina or Cyrus. This is also useful for damaging or knocking our your opponent's main attackers before they are ready.
