Weaknesses: • Mega Absol ex has low HP compared to other Mega ex Pokemon.

Weezing Deck Strategy Guide

Inflict Poison With Gas Leak

Weezing can put pressure on your opponent's Pokemon by inflicting Poison. If they do not have the means to heal it, they can be forced to choose between taking incremental damage and switching out their Pokemon.

Remove Weezing From the Active Spot Using Supporters

Weezing has a hefty Retreat Cost, which can make it difficult to put your main attackers in the Active Spot once they are ready. Leaf can be used to decrease the Retreat Cost, making it easier to Bench.

Alternatively, you can use Koga to return Weezing into your hand. This way, it can be removed even without any Energy attached.

How to Beat Weezing Decks

Cure Weezing's Poison

Trainer Cards such as Lum Berry and Pokemon Center Lady can cure the Poison that Weezing inflicts. You may also cure Poison by Benching your Pokemon or evolving it.

Draw the Opponent's Benched Pokemon Out

Weezing can only inflict Poison while it's in the Active Spot. You can switch Weezing out using Sabrina or Cyrus. This is also useful for damaging or knocking our your opponent's main attackers before they are ready.
