Ninetales is an effective single-point attacker that can deal a good 90 damage at the cost of only 2 Energy with Flamethrower.
Flareon ex can then attach the discarded Energy from Flamethrower onto itself with its Combust Ability, setting itself up in the process.
A single copy of Sylveon ex can help you find necessary cards for important turns, such as Blaine or Eevee Bag.

Turtonator is typically used as an early to mid-game attacker. Kiawe can accelerate its Energy, enabling it to attack early.
Once Flareon ex is set up and in the Active Spot, it can be used as the primary attacker or finisher. With its Combust Ability, it can make use of the Energy that Turtonator has discarded, allowing it to consistently attack with Fire Spin.

Flareon ex synergizes with Infernape ex, allowing it to use Flare Blitz on consecutive turn with the help of Flareon ex's Combust Ability and Dawn.
Lillie is run in this deck to keep Infernape ex healthy on turns when it can't attack, while Mars can offer hand disruption when one of your Pokemon has been knocked out.
Rare Candy makes the deck even more explosive, letting you power out an Infernape ex as early as turn 2!

Torkoal is the deck's secondary attacker, functioning as a counter against Pom-Pom Oricorio.

Flareon ex's ability allows it to take Fire Energy from the discard pile. This makes it synergize well with Fire-type Pokemon that discard Energy upon attacking, such as Infernape ex and Turtonator.

Fire Spin can only do 130 damage, which may make it difficult to KO bulkier Pokemon.
You may increase Flareon ex's damage with Trainer Cards. It is good to use Eevee Bag in combination with Giovanni or Red in order to deal at least 150 damage.

You may keep your Pokemon outside Fire Spin's KO range with Trainer Cards. You may opt to heal your Pokemon, but you can also increase its HP with Giant Cape.

Flareon ex decks may often need Trainer Cards in order to land vital KOs. You may counter them by using cards that shuffle the opponent's hand back into their deck.
