List of Contents
| Decks That Use Cleffa | Strengths and Weaknesses |
|---|---|
Mega Blaziken ex Deck
|
Strengths:
• Can deal a sizeable 120 damage for only 2 Energy with Mega Burning. • Has a low Retreat Cost of 1, which can get Mega Blaziken ex out of trouble in a pinch. • Huge 210 HP, making Mega Blaziken ex difficult to OHKO. Weaknesses: • Discards an Energy whenever you use Mega Burning, making it difficult to set up other attackers. |
Hydreigon Deck
|
Strengths:
• Can set itself up to Attack with its Roar in Unison Ability. • Can attack on consecutive turns, despite Hyper Ray's discard condition. Weaknesses: • Roar in Unison puts damage on Hydreigon, making it easier to KO. • Hydreigon is a Stage 2, which requires some effort and resources to set up. |
Rampardos and Aerodactyl ex Deck
|
Strengths:
• The deck will always start with your lone Cleffa, and will always be able to use Twinkly Call to find an Evolution card for the following turn. • Rampardos's low-cost attack can OHKO most Pokemon and deal meaningful damage to Pokemon who can tank it. • Aerodactyl ex can prevent your opponent's Active Pokemon from evolving. Weaknesses: • A very risky deck to play, as Cleffa might fetch an Evolution card that does not match your fossil. • No reliable way to search for your Fossils besides drawing into them. |

Mega Blaziken ex is the deck's primary attacker with Heatmor as a single-pont attacker that can target the Bench. These two Pokemon work in tandem, letting you choose which of your opponent's Pokemon to KO.
Additionally, Heatmor can KO low HP Basic Pokemon, such as Baby Pokemon or Magikarp.
Cyrus synergizes with Heatmor, allowing you to score KOs with Mega Blaziken ex whenever necessary

This deck can win or lose fast with your sole Basic Pokemon being Cleffa, who can search out your Evolution cards as early as your first turn. Your single Cleffa runs the risk of getting donked if you do not find your Fossils quickly enough.
It is also very important to find Rare Candy as quickly as possible so that you can immediately start attacking.

Mantyke is used to accelerate Energy for Suicune ex in the early game. Once Suicune ex is set up, it can be used as an early-game attacker and wall.
Gyarados functions as the late-game attacker. The player can discard Benched Pokemon to increase its attacking power. It can discard Suicune ex, preventing opponents from scoring 2 points with a KO.
Gyarados ex can be a good option for a finisher if the player's Bench is not filled out. Since it has a high Attack Cost, you may accelerate its Energy with Misty.

Poliwrath ex is the deck's primary attacker, being able to do 100 to 140 damage for only 3 Energy. This is very easy to achieve if you have Mantyke in the early game to accelerate 1 Water Energy onto your Poliwag.
Lucario and Red give Poliwrath ex damage boosts, which can be helpful if you did not draw Mantyke on the first turn.
You may use Sylveon ex to help you search for the support and evolution cards that you may need.

This deck revolves around using Mantyke to generate Water Energy for Garchomp. This allows Garchomp to set up more smoothly, and removes the need to wait for Water Energy in the Energy Zone.
Garchomp ex is used as an alternative attacker if the player does not draw Mantyke on the first turn. While Garchomp ex cannot make use of Cynthia's damage boost, it can still be useful when targeting Benched Pokemon.

If you did not draw Mantyke on your first turn, you may use Rampardos as your main mid to late game attacker instead. It can deal 130 damage with only one Energy, making it an efficient finisher.

Using Baby Pokemon like Pichu, Magby, or Mantyke, you can generate a different type energy which you can place on Altaria to boost its damage.
If you have the First Turn, you will not get any energy from the Energy Zone during the initial start of the battle. However, since Baby Pokemon do not need energy to use their moves, you can use them to place energy on your Pokemon even during the First Turn.
If you have Altaria on the Bench during this time, you can get Altaria to deal 100 damage as early as the second turn. This will completely destroy your opponent's early game set-up.
Darkrai ex can be used as a secondary attacker and an additional damage booster. If you place energy on Darkrai ex, its ability will deal an additional 20 damage on the opponent's Active Pokemon.

Best Altaria Decks and Card List

Baby Pokemon are low-HP Basic Pokemon whose Attacks do not cost any Energy. These Pokemon are able to give you an upper hand with their being able to Attack on the first turn.
They come with the weakness of having only 30 HP and giving up a point when they are KOd, but their attacks should be able to put you ahead in momentum to justify their inclusion in your deck.
