Paralysis will be cured after 1 turn

A pokemon afflicted with Paralysis will be unable to attack or retreat. This effect will dispel after 1 turn.

What is a Pokemon Check?

There is a phase at the end of each Player's turn where all pokemon with status effects will be checked by the game. If you have a status condition, the game will make you take damage, do a coin toss, or recover naturally.

Since checks happen on every change of turns, your status ailments can also cure at the end of your opponent's turn.
