Porygon-Z can deal lots of damage with Cyberjack, which counts how many Trainer cards are in your opponent's deck. Because competitive decks are comprised of more Trainer cards than Pokemon, Cyberjack will always be dealing significant damage.
Baby Pokemon Pichu and Mantyke can help with Porygon-Z's steep Energy requirement, having it ready to attack in only a few turns.
Porygon2 from Wisdom of Sea and Sky can also quickly complete your setup by simply attaching an Energy to it, thanks to its Buggy Evolution Ability.
| Expansions | Cards to Get and Packs to Open |
|---|---|
| Genetic Apex (A1) | Porygon x 2 (Mewtwo Pack) Sabrina x 1 (Charizard Pack) |
| Mythical Island (A1a) | No cards needed from this expansion. |
| Spacetime Smackdown (A2) | Cyrus x 1 (Palkia Pack) |
| Triumphant Light (A2a) | No cards needed from this expansion. |
| Shining Revelry (A2b) | No cards needed from this expansion. |
| Celestial Guardians | No cards needed from this expansion. |
| Extradimensional Crisis | No cards needed from this expansion. |
| Eevee Grove | No cards needed from this expansion. |
| Wisdom of Sky and Sea | Pichu x 1 (Lugia Pack) Porygon2 x 2 (Lugia Pack) Silver x 1 (Ho-Oh Pack) |
| Secluded Springs | Mantyke x 2 (Suicune Pack) |
| Mega Rising | Copycat x 1 (Mega Gyarados Pack) Lisia x 1 (Mega Altaria Pack) |
| Crimson Blaze | Porygon-Z x 2 (Mega Charizard Pack) |
| Promo-A | Poke Ball x 2 (Promo-A Pack) Red Card x 2 (Promo-A Pack) Professor's Research x 2 (Promo-A Pack) |

The deck's Baby Pokemon can easily set up your benched Porygons, making Porygon-Z's 3 Energy Cost Attack not feel so steep. Do remember that Pichu and Mantyke can only attach to Basic Pokemon. This means that you will no longer be able to attach Energy with Splashy and Crackly Toss once Porygon evolves into Porygon2 or Porygon-Z.

Porygon-Z has the potential to deal significant damage because most decks at least 10 Trainers in their deck. More competitive decks who would want more options would often want more Trainer cards in their deck, freeing up Porygon-Z to deal even more damage.
Because of Cyberpunk's conditional damage, its damage output is highest earlier in the game, and can weaken as the game progresses. Prioritize getting damage off before the game draws out.

You can mitigate Porygon-Z's damage output by using up your Trainers. By having them all in your hand or Discard Pile, you'll have less Trainers in your deck, making it so Cyberjack deals even less damage.
