Defeat Leafeon ex Pre-Evolution

Leafeon ex's ability can generate extra energy for Grass Pokemon, so it needs to be defeated before it evolves. Eevee has only 60 HP so they can be easily defeated by most Pokemon like Heatmor.

Keep in mind that the opponent's deck has both Erika and Giant Cape, so you might expect healing.

Force Pokemon into the Active Spot

Cards like Sabrina and Cyrus both have abilities that can force a Pokemon from the Bench into the Active Spot. Use them strategically to land more direct attacks.

Use Low Attack Cost Fire Pokemon

With a low energy cost, cards like Ninetales and Rapidash can counter the speed of Leafeon ex and Yanmega ex. They can attack as early as 2 turns, and can deal bonus damage with the type advantage.

Rapidash functions as the early game attacker of the deck, putting Pokemon in KO range for Ninetales. With the assistance of Blaine, Ninetales can deal up to 120 damage upon being switched in.

Combined with the +20 type advantage, Ninetales can easily OHKO Leafeon ex, and defeat Yanmega ex in 2 turns.
