This deck allows you to inflict Poison on your opponent in order to make up for Mega Absol ex's relatively low damage output. You can attach the Poison Barb to Mega Absol ex in the Active Spot, then have Nihilego on your Bench to increase the Poison damage every turn.

Since you can use Mega Absol ex's Darkness Claw to get rid of some of your opponent's recovery options, this is a good way to deal damage over time. However, if you're in need of a large amount of damage in one move, you can attack with Hydreigon.

Strategy Focuses on Inflicting Status Effects on Opposing Cards

Darkness-type cards mainly rely on inflicting status effects to give them an advantage on the battle field. Their moves and abilities often synergize with each other because of this, with some cards being able to attack with bonus damage if the opponent is inflicted with Poison.

These cards need more strategic set-up by using their special abilities to be effective, so long matches should be expected when using Darkness decks.
