Tyranitar and Nihilego Deck
[★ Best ★] |
Strengths:
• Tyranitar synergizes with Ultra Beasts and Lusamine with Energy Plunder giving it the Energy it requires to use Buster Tail for 130. • Nihilego provides good additional damage with its More Poison Ability. • The deck consists of single point attackers, requiring opponents to take three KOs. Weaknesses: • Tyranitar takes multiple turns to set up outside of its Lusamine and Energy Plunder turn. |
Tyranitar and Darkrai ex Deck
[★ New ★] |
Strengths:
• Tyranitar can be an alternative to Giratina ex as a late game finisher. • The Giratina ex and Darkrai ex core is tried and tested to be consistent and effective. Weaknesses: • Chaotic Impact also damages Giratina ex, making it easier to KO. • Most of the Pokemon in the deck share a Weakness to Grass. |

Nihilego and Naganadel can go on the offensive in the early game and can be loaded up with Energy.
Use Lusamine after either Pokemon have been knocked out, then evolve Pupitar into Tyranitar, which can use its Energy Plunder Ability to take all the Darkness Energy on your board and swing for 130 with Buster Tail.

The Giratina ex and Darkrai ex core with a 2-1-2 Tyranitar line gives the deck a single-point alternative to Giratina ex who can also deal 130 damage.
Tyranitar can also deal with the likes of Pom-Pom Oricorio which the pair of Giratina ex and Darkrai ex struggle against. Larvitar and Pupitar can both help in Pom-Pom Oricorio matches as well.
Once you have enough Darkness Energy on your Pokemon, evolve Pupitar into Tyranitar, which can use its Energy Plunder Ability to take all the Darkness Energy on your board and swing for 130 with Buster Tail.

Tyranitar is best used as a late-game finisher where it can evolve from Pupitar and immediately start attacking.
Load your board up with Darkness Energy for Tyranitar to take with Energy Plunder later.

Larvitar and Pupitar are both vulnerable to getting gusted before they can be effective as Tyranitar. Use cards like Cyrus or Sabrina to force them into the Active Spot.
Greninja and Umbreon ex can be used together to target it down before it evolves into Tyranitar.
