Strengths:
• Gholdengo can be loaded up with Energy by Dialga ex for a huge Scintillating Surfing Attack later on. • Gholdengo is a single-point attacker that makes for favorable point trades against ex Pokemon. Weaknesses: • Dependent on strong Dialga ex starts, or else it will need to use up resources to maneuver into ideal first turn setups. • Reliant on lucky flips, and can only be consistent if it has lots and lots of Energy attached, usually through the help of Dialga ex. |

Energy Used |

Gholdengo is a single-point attacker that can be paired with Dialga ex. Once loaded with lots of Energy, Gholdengo's Scinitllating Surfing will then be able to deal lots of damage dependent on lucky coin flips, similar to Celebi ex.
Expansions | Cards to Get and Packs to Open |

Spacetime Smackdown (A2) | Dialga ex x 2 (Dialga Pack) Pokemon Communication x 1 (Dialga Pack) Giant Cape x 2 (Dialga Pack) Dawn x 2 (Dialga Pack) |
Triumphant Light (A2a) | Adaman x 1 (Arceus Pack) |
Shining Revelry (A2b) | Gimmighoul x 2 (Shiny Charizard Pack) Gholdengo x 2 (Shiny Charizard Pack) |
Promo-A | Poke Ball x 2 (Promo-A Pack) Professor's Research x 2 (Promo-A Pack) |
Dialga ex is your ideal start, and you would always want a turn 1 Energy attachment into a turn 2 Metallic Turbo.
It can also pivot from an accelerator to an attacker with the use of Dawn, by transfering an Energy from a Benched Pokemon and a turn attachment of Energy, which meets the Energy requirement of Heavy Impact. It is also recommended you keep using Metallic Turbo until Gholdengo has accumulated an absurd amount of Energy so that it can attack for a big KO the following turn.
Gholdengo works similarly to Celebi ex with its Scintillating Surfing Attack doing 50 for each Metal Energy attached. Once it's loaded up with lots of Energy, it can swing for big damage.
Gholdengo is largely dependent on an ideal Dialga ex setup and lucky heads flips. Even with lots of Energy attached, Gholdengo runs the chance of whiffing important KOs, making this a very inconsistent attacker unless it is loaded with an absurd amount of Energy.
Gholdengo also only has 120 HP, which is low compared to an ex. This makes it easy to KO.
Decks that can deal damage to Dialga ex and take it out in a few hits are difficult for this deck to go up against. Beating it requires that you knock out one Gholdengo and one Dialga ex, so decks that can quickly take points have a distinct advantage against this deck.

This is a B tier deck. I’ve had more success with rampardos and locario than this deck

Yup might even be c tier deck. If you do not get dialga/dialga, or dialga/ gimmieghoul might as well concede
