Wonder Pick allows you to choose a random card from a booster pack that another player has opened by using Wonder Stamina. The amount of Wonder Stamina needed to Wonder Pick a pack depends on the rarity of the cards in the set.
How to Use the Wonder Pick Feature
You'll unlock the Battle Menu upon reaching level 3. Only solo battles will be available at first, but once you complete the battle tutorial, you'll be able to access the PvP versus battles.
Upon unlocking battles, you'll also be able to start getting rental decks through Deck Missions. Rental decks can be used in solo battles, but they have a limited number of uses.
Deck Missions can be completed by obtaining the highlight card of a given deck as well as finding all cards that comprise the deck.
A display board allows you to showcase one card of your choice by putting it onto a backdrop. More backdrops can be obtained by purchasing them from the shop or by completing missions.
If made public, your display board can be seen by others through the Social Hub. Players who like your showcase can gift you with a Shop Ticket as thanks.
List of Display Board Backdrops
Similar to display boards, binders are a way for you to show off your card collection. Whereas display boards can only hold one card, binders can hold up to 30 cards of your choice.
You can also make your binders public and receive Shop Tickets from players who like your showcase.
Method | EXP Gained |
---|---|
Open a Booster Pack | 25 EXP |
Solo Battles | 25 - 100 EXP |
Win a Versus Battle | 15 EXP |
Wonder Pick | 15 EXP (each Wonder Stamina) |
Each time you open a booster pack, you are rewarded with 25 EXP. This is the easiest way to gain EXP and level up in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
How Booster Packs Work in Pokemon TCG Pocket
The amount of EXP you get from solo battles depends on the difficulty. Each Beginner Step-Up Battle rewards 25 EXP upon defeating a deck for the first time.
Another 25 EXP is added to succeeding difficulty levels, with a total of 50 EXP rewarded for Intermediate Step-Up Battles, 75 EXP for Advanced, and 100 EXP for Expert Solo Battles.
EXP can only be obtained for the first win against each deck in solo battles. If you decide to fight a deck you've beaten again to complete battle tasks, you will not earn any EXP.
Solo Battle Guides: All Decks, Battle Tasks and Counters
Only random matches in versus battles give 15 EXP for winning. Private matches against friends do not reward you with EXP if you win.
Getting a card from Wonder Pick also provides EXP. The amount of EXP you receive will depend on how much Wonder Stamina you've used.
Each unit of Wonder Stamina consumed will give you 15 EXP. If you select a set that costs 2 Wonder Stamina, you'll be given 30 EXP, and if you use 3 Wonder Stamina, you'll be given 45 EXP upon selecting a card. The rarity of the card you've randomly selected will not affect the EXP you earn.
The current maximum level for TCG Pocket players is level 50. This level cap is expected to expand in future updates.
