This Mega Pinsir ex deck makes use of Leafeon ex to accelerate Energy, expediting its setup. Because Mega Pinsir's Critical Scissors has an Attack Cost of 3, Energy acceleration is good for it to have.

Leafeon is used as a secondary attacker, being able to counter Pom-Pom Oricorio.

Meowscarada gains an extra 70 damage to its attack if it is facing off against an ex Pokemon. With the help of Red, it can even deal up to 150 damage, knocking out most ex Pokemon.
Against non-exs, however, Meowscarada cannot deal heavy enough damage.
Leafeon ex can help cover Meowscarada's weaknesses as a secondary attacker. Using its Forest Breath Ability to accelerate Energy, Leafeon ex can be quickly set up to stomp any non-ex Pokemon.

Leafeon ex is able to make Celebi ex more consistent thanks to its Energy acceleration. The deck makes use of Water Energy and Irida to keep its Pokemon healthy and out of KO range.
This deck makes use of Grass as well as Water Energy from the Energy Zone, which makes it so you can use Irida for HP recovery. Grass Energy can also be provided by Leafeon ex's Forest Breath Ability.
The Eevee used in this deck is the Mythical Island Eevee, which can high roll for lots of damage. Other Eevee options have more consistent attacks, but they could also be consistently unimpactful with all the healing options available to your opponents.
Shaymin from Space-Time Smackdown helps keep your Pokemon healthy, which is central to the deck's main gimmick of being difficult to OHKO. Shaymin from Triumphant Light is another viable option, but is cut from the deck in favor of X Speed because of the limited, valuable bench spots.

Dhelmise ex is the deck's primary attacker, trapping opponents to guarantee KOs. It is paired with Leafeon ex, which can accelerate its Energy, helping it attack as soon as possible.
Celebi ex may also be used as a finisher when dealing with bulkier Pokemon.

Leafeon ex becomes a Grass battery for the Eevee Grove Leafeon to increase the damage of the latter's Leaf Blast. It is ideal to have the ex version in play first so it can generate Energy for the non-ex version even while it hasn't evolved yet.

Leafeon ex can load its partners with lots of Energy, and allow for big attacks later on. Leafeon ex itself is also a decent attacker, with Solar Beam dealing a respectable 70 damage.

Leafeon ex decks can uniquely run Irida and Water Energy despite it not being a dedicated Water deck. Irida is a powerful new Supporter card that heals all Pokemon with Water Energy attached.
Irida with Erika, and sometimes even Potion can make sure your Pokemon are difficult to KO!

With the deck's ability to consistently heal damage, it becomes important that you OHKO Leafeon ex and its partners. This invalidates their healing options and strategies.

Attacking the deck's ex Pokemon for weakness also works, as it almost achieves OHKOs. But this also gives the Leafeon ex deck a chance to recover. It is still better to guarantee OHKOs and immediately remove threats and take points.

This deck as noooooo business being this high up on a tier list. It just isn’t that good.

You guys are using the wrong Shaymin in the deck preview also I agree with others with this deck being ranked a little too high. If you use only water energy and don’t get to evolve into Leafeon early game then celebi becomes pretty much useless. I would recommend using grass and water or just finding a substitute for Irida
