Use an Early Game Attacker

Blacephalon ex's Pop-Punk attack has a fairly high Attack Cost, so it may be good to set it up in the Bench. You may place an early game attacker in the Active Spot during your first turns.

Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon is a great option, as it can accelerate Energy for Blacephalon ex.

Recover Discarded Energy

Blacephalon ex discards 3 Energy after using Pop-Punk, so it is ideal to recover that lost Energy quickly. You may use cards that can attach Energy from the discard pile.

Deal Additional Damage

Pop-Punk only deals 140 damage, so Blacephalon ex may struggle to OHKO bulkier Pokemon. You may use Trainer Cards that increase your Pokemon's damage output.

How to Beat Blacephalon ex Decks

Hand Disruption

Blacephalon ex decks may need to rely on other cards to accelerate and recover Energy. You may shuffle the cards in your opponent's hand back into the deck in order to disrupt their strategy.

Discard Blacephalon ex's Beastite

Beastite can boost Blacephalon's attacking power, which gives it the ability to OHKO slightly bulkier Pokemon. You may use Guzma to discard this Pokemon Tool and keep your Pokemon out of KO range.

Use Healing Cards
