Guzzlord ex goes all in with its disruption strategy when partnered with Beedrill ex whose Crushing Spear also discards Energy from the Defending Pokemon.
The Pokemon in the deck need multiple turns to set up, but once the Pokemon are ready, they can lock opponents out of Energy.
Lusamine in the late-game can help you set up Guzzlord ex quickly by attaching Energy from the Discard Pile.

Buzzwole ex is played alongside Beedrill ex in a Grass deck, where Buzzwole ex is able to hit for bigger damage than Beedrill ex can.
The Grass-types in the deck benefit from cards like Erika and Leaf Cape, which have synergy with Grass-type Pokemon.

Beedrill ex is an effective teammate for Meowscarada as it can deal sizeable damage to non-ex Pokemon. Even a 1-1-1 line becomes consistent for this deck because of Sprigatito's Cry for Help Attack, as well as one copy of Pokemon Communication.
This deck makes use of Genetic Apex Weedle, instead of Shining Revelry Weedle because it can deal 20 damage with Sting. We also don't run Shining Revelry Weedle because we don't run any other Weedle in the deck for it to find with Multiply.

The faster Beedrill ex evolves, the earlier the player can prevent their opponent from setting up. Having only Beedrill ex's evolutionary line as the Pokemon Cards in the deck increases the chances of Beedrill ex evolving quickly. The process can be sped up further through Weedle's Multiply and the use of Supporter Cards such as Pokemon Communication, Iono, and Professor's Research.

This deck takes advantage of Exeggutor ex's bulk and low energy cost, putting it in the Active Spot before Beedrill ex is ready. Exeggutor ex can retreat with the help of X Speed once Beedrill ex is prepared to use Crushing Spear to disrupt your opponents.

In cases where Beedrill ex is not ready yet, Sabrina and Cyrus can switch troublesome opponents out from the Active Spot into their Bench to prevent them from damaging you or setting up. You may also make use of Team Rocket Grunt make the opponent discard their energy, preventing them from using their attacks. Another option is to use Kakuna's String Shot for a chance to Paralyze your opponent.
Players facing off against Beedrill ex can simply attach Energy to a Benched Pokemon to protect it from Beedrill ex's disruption.

Beedrill ex cannot KO bulkier opponents in one hit, so there may be a chance of it getting damaged before it knocks out another Pokemon. While Beedrill ex already has good natural bulk, healing with Erika can increase its survivability.

Beedrill ex works best against lower HP opponents and Pokemon that need a lot of Energy to get set up. Pokemon that Beedrill ex cannot knock out in one hit and require only 1 Energy to use their moves like Rampardos or even Weavile ex can effectively deal with Beedrill ex despite its type disadvantage.

The player may also gather Energy in advance or recover the lost Energy through the use of different cards. Depending on the type of deck, you can use Moltres ex, Misty, or Manaphy to attach multiple Energy in a turn.
