Hitmonchan ex's Quick Straight can deal a powerful and efficient 50 damage at the cost of only 1 Energy. While it comes with the limitation of being unable to hit for weakness, Giovanni can help it score KOs on relevant 60 HP Pokemon.

Hitmonchan ex is only able to hit for 50 damage with Quick Straight. This weakness makes it so the Pokemon played with it have an even more important role to fill: dealing damage.
Lucario can increase the damage of your Fighting-types by 20, including itself. With 2 Lucario, a Submarine Blow can do up to 80 damage.
Rampardos, although difficult to set up, can deal a sizeable 130 damage with Head Smash, which should be able to KO Pokemon that have been damaged by Hitmonchan ex in previous turns.

By itself, Hitmonchan ex may struggle to take OHKOs. Use cards that can heal your Pokemon to stay out of KO range of Hitmonchan ex and its partners.
