Eeveelutions and Ditto Deck Core Combos and Interactions

Primary Attacker Gimmick Attacker Description
Pokemon TCG Pocket - A1 102 JolteonJolteon Pokemon TCG Pocket - A1 205 DittoDitto ・Jolteon will be your primary source of damage. Try your best to draw into it and flip heads!.
・Flareon and Vaporeon are also useful attackers and have their own strengths.
・Ditto's Copy Anything can be used to copy a number of relevant attacks.

Best Starting Hand

Best Starting Hand

You would always want to have Eevee in your opening hand, as it can evolve the following turn. Meowth is also a good starter, as it can draw into your Eeveelutions with Pay Day.

Use Poke Ball and Professor's Research to dig for more resources.

Other Good Starting Cards

Recommended Starting Hand

Eevee with your choice of Eeveelution is also great because of the options that are available to you on the turn you can evolve it. Be sure to find more Basic Pokemon, as you cannot just start with a lone Eevee that can get KOd by Mewtwo ex's Psychic Sphere + Giovanni.

Eeveelutions and Ditto Deck Strategies

Eeveelutions and Ditto Deck Strategies

Click the links above to jump to a certain section!

Strategy 1: Eeveelutions

Eeveelutions

Eevee can evolve into one of its three Kanto Eeveelutions. Jolteon has an Energy-efficient Pin Missile which can high roll 160 damage but relies on good flips.

Flareon can consistently deal 110 damage with Flamethrower provided you attach Energy to it every turn.

Vaporeon is a tank that can deal 60 damage and heal itself with Bubble Drain. All three are solid choices, with the last obstacle for their efficiency being their Energy requirements.

Strategy 2: Ditto Gimmick

Ditto can be powered up to use some of the metagame's prominent attacks such as Articuno ex's Blizzard, Dragonite's Draco Meteor or Charizard ex's Crimson Storm.

Do remember that attacks like Moltres ex's Inferno Dance and Pikachu ex's Circle Circuit would require you to have Benched Pokemon of specific types. This means that Circle Circuit can max out at 60 damage when you have two Jolteon, or Inferno Dance can only ramp to Benched Flareon.

This may be difficult to pull off, as Ditto would also need to meet the Energy requirements, and our Energy Zone might not give us what we need when we need it.

Game Phases

Eeveelutions and Ditto Deck Best and Worst Matchups

Best Matchups

Deck Commentary
None
Type: None

・The Eeveelutions deck isn't particularly good against specific decks due to its low durability and high dependency on lucky draws and coin flips.

Worst Matchups

Deck Commentary

Pikachu ex Decks
Type: Lightning

・ Pokemon in the deck have low HP and can get overrun by damage from Pikachu ex.
・ May struggle to deal enough damage outside of lucky Jolteon flips.

Overall Consistency

This deck is fun but may struggle with consistency. Having the right Eeveelution for the right situation may prove difficult, as well as having the right type of Energy when you need it.

Consider this deck if you want a challenge, because wins with this deck will surely come with lots of effort and strategy.

Alternatively, if you would want to build a dedicated Ditto deck, you can build it with Weezing and Wigglytuff ex, who is another Colorless attacker that can run different Energy. This synergizes with Ditto, who needs different Energies to meet certain Energy requirements.

Card Explanation

Misty
・Misty can quickly power up your Vaporeon. But Misty would require Eevee to be Vaporeon already before you can use it, as it will not work on a Colorless Eevee or Ditto. [nl
