Lunala ex is a Stage 2 card that benefits from Rare Candy, which greatly speeds up its setup, allowing it to immediately start attacking for only two Energy.
It also synergizes with Giratina ex and Mewtwo ex as a card for Energy acceleration. Lunala ex's Ability allows it to help Mewtwo ex to quickly get its Energy requirements with help from Giratina ex's Ability.
Additionally, Lunala ex's Ability also ensures that you will always have a fresh attacker as long as you can switch them out when necessary.

The release of Rare Candy lets you get Gardevoir up as early as Turn 2 letting you quickly fire off Mewtwo's Psydrive up faster.
Gardevoir's Psy Shadow can generate extra Psychic Energy from the Bench, accelerating Mew ex and Mewtwo ex's set-up.

Lunala ex's Psychic Connect Ability allows it to move all attached Psychic Energy from one Benched Pokemon to the card in the Active Spot.
This way, you can let one card on your side of the field stack up Energy then move them to your Mewtwo ex, to supply the Energy needed for its Psydrive.

Use Psychic Sphere when the opposing Pokemon's HP is low to conserve Mewtwo ex's Energy.
Psydrive will discard 2 Psychic Energy from Mewtwo ex for every use, so you would want to save it for when you're facing up against tanky Pokemon like Genetic Apex Charizard.

Since Mewtwo ex takes a while to set up, you need to use decks where you can build Pokemon fast.
Quick and aggressive decks like the Weavile ex and Darkrai ex deck can deal critical damage to Mewtwo ex before it even has the chance to attack.

not everyone has access to the new cards yet, would like to suggest an archive pages for old strategy too so that for players who do not yet have access to the new cards, they can still try out the old strategy temporarily. a disclaimer can be included on the archive pages that information might be outdated etc and it is our own risk to use them or something

I can't recomend pokedex enough with mystic slab. If you don't draw the dex, you can still send it with slab and hope you don't hit prof or pokeball, but if you have the dex you can peak and know exactly when to play which card. It is almost as good as greatball.
