Season A2b in in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket (PTCG Pocket) is now live and will run from March 28 until April 27, 2025. Read on to learn more about the format, what Cards you can expect to battle, the rules in the current season, and the rewards you can obtain.

Ranked Battles has been added into Pokemon TCG Pocket on March 28, 2025 at 2 AM EDT (March 27, 11 PM PDT). This was added one day after the release of the new expansion set, Shining Revelry.
The first season, Season A2b, will feature every card available thus far, and will run from March 28, 2025, 2:00 AM EDT to April 27, 2025, 1:59 AM EDT.

All cards released from the game's release up until the current Shining Revelry (A2b) pack are eligible for entry in this current Season! Make sure to bring your best deck and climb your way to Master Ball Rank!
No Banned Cards
Cards can be banned for being overly difficult to counter, and to ensure that the game is not compromised by overly short and one-sided battles. Currently, there are no banned cards for this season.
Ranked Battle Rewards
Players who have reached certain milestones during Season A2b will receive rewards after the season ends and the results are announced and are the based on the results of your battles.
Players need to finish at least one match with a win or loss during the season to be eligible for rewards.

You can change your deck before matching, but you will not receive a decklist for your opponent You need to have reached Player Level 3 and have unlocked Versus Battles to enter. If there are no eligible players, you will be matched to an AI Player. Starting From Beginner Rank 1 until Great Ball Rank 4, you can get more Rank Points for winning consecutively. Up until Beginner Rank 4, you cannot lose Rank Points when you lose a battle. Starting from Great Ball Rank 1, you cannot go down a rank once your rank has been raised. No matter how many times you lose, your Rank will stay the same. The Top 10,000 Players in Master Ball Rank will receive a special emblem. Other players who reach Master Ball Rank will receive a different Emblem. |
