This deck uses Manaphy as an Energy accelerator, setting up Origin Forme Palkia and Bibarel ex as the deck's main attackers. If Manaphy has been knocked out or is not available in your hand, you may also opt to use Origin Forme Palkia as a wall as Bibarel sets up.

Use Manaphy to accelerate Water Energy to Bibarel ex and Origin Forme Palkia to speed up the demanding Energy Costs for both Pokemon. If Manaphy's HP is low, switch Origin Forme Palkia into the Active Spot while you build Bibarel ex.

Bibarel ex's greatest advantage is its tankiness, so use healing items to extend its survivability. Potions or Irida can be used to heal damage, while the Giant Cape can increase Bibarel's HP by 20.

Bibarel ex has a high energy cost, so it is best to knock it out before it is able to attack. You can chip away at Bidoof or Bibarel ex by damaging it on the Bench using Pokemon like Greninja and Hitmonlee, or you can force it out using cards like Sabrina or Cyrus for more direct attacks.

Status Effects can give you advantages against Bibarel ex if played strategically. Continuous damage from Poision or Burn can pressure the opponent to switch out Bibarel ex.
Alternatively, Sleep, Paralysis, and Confusion has the chance of preventing Bibarel ex from attacking—giving you a free hit.

Bibarel ex's biggest weakness is its energy cost, so using Beedrill ex or Team Rocket Grunt to discard its energy can put it at a severe disadvantage.
